Crabs fetch good prices, giving fishermen more motivation to stay at sea.

(Baohatinh.vn) - Favorable crab markets and high selling prices have further motivated fishermen in the coastal communes of Cam Trung and Thien Cam (Ha Tinh province) to venture out to sea and continue their livelihoods.

For nearly a week now, fishermen in Thien Cam and Cam Trung communes have been continuously catching schools of crabs with high economic value. Fisherman Hoang Van Tuan (Cam Trung commune) said: "On this trip, my boat caught more than 40 kg of crabs. The high selling price not only brings economic joy but also motivates us to go out to sea and continue fishing."

As soon as they arrived ashore, the trays of fresh, delicious crabs were all bought up by traders.

According to local fishermen, seafood is selling well because it's currently tourist season.

Currently, crabs are being purchased at prices ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 VND/kg, 10-15% higher than usual, bringing a significant income to local people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, a small business owner in Thien Cam commune, said: "At this time of year, crabs are of the best quality, with firm and sweet meat, so they are very popular in the market. Especially during the tourist season, demand is high, so we buy up all the crabs as soon as they arrive."

The vendors quickly sorted through the crabs they had bought.

The seafood trading atmosphere is bustling at purchasing facilities, creating an abundant supply for the market.

Taking advantage of favorable weather, for nearly a week, fishermen in the coastal communes of Cam Trung and Thien Cam have continuously ventured out to sea. Thanks to encountering schools of crabs, they have harvested nearly 1 ton. With the tourist season underway, strong demand has helped maintain high crab prices, providing a significant income for the fishermen after each fishing trip.
