Ms. Nguyen Minh Hanh (a tourist from Hanoi ) shared that her family chose a beach vacation to "change things up" after a stressful period of work. "This is my second time visiting Quy Nhon. I chose Quy Nhon because Gia Lai is hosting the National Tourism Year this year. Compared to before, tourism has developed much more strongly, and the beautiful scenery is being promoted more on social media, so my family wants to come back to experience it more fully," Ms. Hanh said.

Besides Ky Co, tours to Hon Kho and Cu Lao Xanh also attract a large number of tourists. The high demand for water transport has resulted in a constant flow of boats and canoes.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Dao, Director of Khanh An Community Tourism Company (the boat owner), said that the entire area currently has more than 30 boats serving tourists, but they are still operating at almost full capacity. "With so many tourists, the boats are constantly turning around. However, the strong southerly winds are somewhat causing difficulties for transportation," Mr. Dao shared.

Not only coastal tourist destinations, but also experiential spaces in urban areas are recording a surge in visitors. The Quy Nhon Science Discovery and Innovation Center is expected to welcome 3,000-5,000 visitors per day during the holiday.

In addition to familiar activities such as visiting the exhibition hall and watching space films, the unit has added many new science demonstration programs. The shows are scheduled continuously to meet the increasing demand for visits.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Director of the Center, the unit has increased staffing, extended service hours, and arranged additional rest and dining areas within the premises. "We strive to create the best conditions for tourists to both experience and conveniently rest during peak days," Mr. Hoa said.

Meanwhile, in the western part of the province, the Bien Ho Tourist Area (Bien Ho commune) recorded a significant increase in visitors during the April 30th - May 1st holiday. From early morning, groups of tourists, young people, and families were present at the Bien Ho area to visit, take photos, and enjoy the cool air amidst the mountain town.

The road leading to the tourist area was bustling with traffic, and the parking lot quickly filled up. Tourists continuously streamed in, creating a rare and lively scene. The emerald green lake, the rustling pine trees in the wind, and the mild weather made Bien Ho Lake a top choice for tourists visiting the western part of Gia Lai province during the holidays.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van, a tourist from Dak Lak, shared that her family chose Gia Lai for a short holiday because they love the climate and scenery there. “My family set off early in the morning to go to Pleiku. When we arrived at Bien Ho Lake, we saw many tourists, but the atmosphere was still pleasant because of the spacious grounds and many green trees. I enjoyed the feeling of standing and admiring the lake, breathing in the fresh air, and taking photos with my family. Compared to many other destinations, Bien Ho Lake has its own unique, peaceful charm, yet still offers enough services for tourists to experience,” Ms. Van said.

According to many businesses in the Lake area, the number of visitors this year has increased significantly compared to normal days, especially during the morning and afternoon hours. Refreshment, photography, and souvenir services are all operating at full capacity to serve customers.

Not only is it a famous scenic spot in the mountain town, Lake Pleiku has also become a connecting point in the journey of exploring Gia Lai for tourists. After visiting the natural freshwater lake, likened to the "eyes of Pleiku," many people continue to move on to nearby places such as tea hills, Buu Minh Pagoda, centuries-old pine trees, or enjoy local cuisine.

The appeal of Lake Ho during the holiday season shows that ecotourism and resort tourism in Gia Lai are increasingly being chosen by tourists, especially in the context of the growing demand for green, spacious environments rich in local identity.

This year's holiday season has highlighted the growing appeal of tourism in Gia Lai. Beyond its diverse landscapes, proactive efforts to improve service quality and innovate experiences have contributed to retaining tourists and driving growth in the local tourism industry.
