Gia Lai awards 100 million VND to students who won Gold Medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics

TPO - On the morning of August 11, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province held a meeting to honor Le Kien Thanh (12th grade IT student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted) who won a Gold Medal at the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics.

At the meeting, Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee awarded 100 million VND to congratulate and commend Le Kien Thanh's achievements.

The Vice Chairman of Gia Lai province emphasized that Le Kien Thanh's victory is not only the pride of the individual, family, and school, but also a "strong testament" to Vietnamese intelligence and the aspirations of Gia Lai's generation of students.

The province will continue to pay attention to and invest in key education , discover and nurture young talents, and spread the spirit of learning and the desire to contribute to all students.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Pham Hong Hiep - Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union awarded a certificate of merit to Le Kien Thanh for his outstanding achievements in the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics.

Previously, Le Kien Thanh had won a Gold Medal at the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which took place from July 27 to August 3 in Bolivia. This is the world's most prestigious algorithm programming competition with the participation of more than 90 countries and territories.
