World pepper prices today: Stable
According to data updated by the International Pepper Association (IPC) on the morning of May 8, 2026, pepper exports today did not record any new price adjustments. Major pepper export markets worldwide maintained stable prices compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper today is listed at $6,955 per ton, reversing a slight increase of $8 per ton (0.12%) compared to yesterday.
Similarly, Indonesian Muntok white pepper prices also recorded a recovery session, rising slightly by $11/ton (0.12%), currently trading at $9,153/ton.
Meanwhile, Brazilian pepper prices remain high today. Currently, Brazilian pepper is trading at $6,000 per ton.
In Malaysia, the price of ASTA black pepper is currently stable at US$9,300/ton. The price of ASTA white pepper in this market today reached US$12,200/ton, unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, the export price of Vietnamese white pepper today also shows no new fluctuations, currently trading at $9,000 per ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices also remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper, 500 gr/l grade, is currently at 6,100 USD/ton, and the 550 gr/l grade is at 6,200 USD/ton.

Domestic pepper prices today: Remaining stable.
In the domestic market, pepper prices today (May 8th) continued to remain high in this morning's trading session at 140,000 - 144,000 VND/kg. Localities in key pepper-growing regions maintained the same price levels.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Gia Lai today remains unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, pepper is trading at 140,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, today's pepper prices in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai are trading at 142,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous trading session.
Following a sideways trend, pepper prices in Lam Dong and Dak Lak provinces are both trading at 144,000 VND/kg today. This is the highest price nationwide today.
According to expert forecasts, domestic pepper prices may continue to see positive developments in the coming days; however, the increase will not create a significant difference compared to the current price.
Meanwhile, preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) show that in April 2026, Vietnam exported 31,053 tons of various types of pepper, with a value of US$193.1 million, including 27,408 tons of black pepper and 3,645 tons of white pepper. Compared to the same period in April 2025, the export volume increased by 16.8%, and compared to March 2026, the export volume increased by 1.4%, however, the value decreased by 3.1%.
The US continues to be Vietnam's largest export market for pepper, with a volume of 7,272 tons, down 9.8% compared to March 2026, but still accounting for 23.4% of Vietnam's total exports that month.
