Gold price decreased by 300,000-1,000,0000 VND/tael this week

On the weekend of May 3-5, domestic gold prices remained almost unchanged. However, compared to the same period last week, the price of this precious metal decreased by 300,000-1,000,000 VND/tael.

The price of SJC gold bars continues to be set at 118.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 121.3 million VND/tael (sell).

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited set SJC gold bars at 118.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 121 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael for buying but unchanged for selling.

This business increased the buying price by 200,000 VND/tael for gold rings, and kept the selling price unchanged, trading at 116.6 million VND/tael (buying) - 119.7 million VND/tael (selling).

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by 0.4% at the end of the week, down to 3,228.5 USD/ounce. Overall, the price of the precious metal decreased by about 2.6% for the whole week.

Gold prices fell amid easing trade tensions between the US and China, prompting investors to quickly sell to take profits after each previous sharp price increase.

Looking back at the domestic gold market, on April 29, the price of SJC gold decreased by 1.5 million VND/tael, falling below the 120 million VND mark, down to 117.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.5 million VND (sell) - the lowest level since April 24.

The next day, the gold price reversed, increasing to 119.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 121.3 million VND/tael (sell).

On April 30, some places were closed for the holiday and some still traded, so the gold price remained unchanged. On May 1, the SJC gold price remained the same in some places, and decreased by 700,000 VND/tael in some places for buying, to a common price of 118.1-119.3 million VND/tael. Some places for selling decreased by 300,000 VND/tael, listed at 121-121.3 million VND/tael.

The next day, the price of SJC gold bars remained almost unchanged.

With gold rings, gold prices fluctuate more but not too much.

With the above developments, compared to last weekend, the price of SJC gold bars has not changed significantly; the price of gold rings has decreased by 300,000-1,000,000 million VND/tael.
