Today's gold price on the world market
According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:30 AM Vietnam time today was $4,763 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 1.67% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,437 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 151.8 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is currently about 15.7 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

World gold price movements over the past 24 hours.
According to Reuters, global gold prices rose for the third consecutive session, supported by growing optimism about reaching a peace agreement between the US and Iran, which helped ease concerns about inflation and the possibility of prolonged high interest rates.
US gold futures rose 1.2% to $4,749.20.
"If the ceasefire holds, we can put this conflict aside and return to normal business once the strait is open. I could see gold prices rise to $5,000 an ounce. The market is currently closely watching the situation in the Middle East, as well as the direction the Federal Reserve is heading," said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
US President Donald Trump predicted the conflict with Iran would soon end as Tehran considered a US peace proposal. Sources said the proposal would formally end the conflict but would not address US demands for Iran to suspend its nuclear program and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Oil prices continue to fall, with Brent crude trading below $100 a barrel. Rising energy costs typically push inflation higher. In this context, policymakers may be less inclined to cut interest rates to curb price pressures. While serving as an inflation hedge, gold becomes less attractive in a high-interest-rate environment because it does not yield returns.
According to TD Securities, the price of gold is likely to rise above $5,200 per ounce once conflicts and inflationary pressures caused by falling oil prices ease.
"A later shift toward the Fed's employment-maximizing goal, lower yields and a weaker US dollar, along with renewed demand from investors and central banks, could reignite the bullish trend," the report added.
The market is awaiting the monthly US jobs report on Friday to assess how the Federal Reserve (Fed) will continue its monetary policy this year.
Meanwhile, data shows that China's central bank stockpiled gold for the 18th consecutive month in April.
Among other metals, spot silver prices rose 5% to $81.19, their highest level since April 17. Platinum prices increased 1.2% to $2,085.75 and palladium prices rose 0.1% to $1,539.01.
