With continuously rising prices, SJC gold and Bao Tin Minh Chau's gold rings reached all-time highs by the end of April 9th.
At 6 PM, Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City at 82.80-84.80 million VND/ounce, while in Hanoi and Da Nang the buying/selling price was 82.80-84.82 million VND/ounce, an increase of 1.8 million VND/ounce compared to this morning.
The price of gold was also listed at 82.8-84.8 million VND/ounce by Vietnam Gold Company at the end of the trading day, while Doji Company listed the price of SJC gold at 82.50-84.70 million VND/ounce.
Thus, in just one day, the price of SJC gold has increased by a total of 2.4 million VND/ounce. The difference between the buying and selling price is maintained by businesses at around 2,000,000-2,600,000 VND/ounce.
Similarly, the price of plain gold rings from Bao Tin Minh Chau Company also increased by 2.25 million VND/ounce, reaching 75.88-77.48 million VND/ounce (buying/selling price). The difference between the buying and selling price widened to 1.6 million VND/ounce (an increase of 400,000 VND/ounce compared to the previous closing price).
Globally, gold prices are fluctuating around $2,356 per ounce, up about $17 from the previous session. This price is equivalent to approximately 71.33 million VND per tael (Vietnamese Dong).
The USD exchange rate at BIDV Bank at the end of April 9th was quoted at 24,805-25,115 VND/USD, a decrease of 5 VND, while Vietinbank announced a buying price of 24,735 VND/USD and a selling price of 25,155 VND/USD, an increase of 20 VND compared to the previous closing session.
However, Vietcombank listed the exchange rate at 24,790-25,130 VND/USD (buying/selling). Agribank announced a rate of 24,795-25,115 VND, remaining stable.
