SJC gold bar and gold ring prices continue to skyrocket

This morning, September 5, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by large enterprises such as SJC, DOJI , PNJ as buying at 132.9 million VND/tael, selling at 134.4 million VND/tael - an increase of 500,000 VND compared to yesterday morning.

Over the past two weeks, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by about 10 million VND/tael. This is the highest increase officially listed by gold companies.

Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars on the free market has increased even more strongly, currently approaching VND140 million per tael. Specifically, some small gold shops in Ho Chi Minh City this morning quoted the buying price of SJC gold bars at VND138 million per tael and the selling price at VND139.5 million per tael, an increase of VND1 million compared to the morning of September 4.

Following this trend, the price of 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold also increased by 500,000 VND, to 126.7 million VND/tael for buying and 129.2 million VND/tael for selling.

SJC gold bar price increased by more than 50 million VND in 8 months

Since the beginning of 2025, holders of SJC gold bars have made a profit of more than 50 million VND/tael. Notably, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings has increased faster, far surpassing the world gold price. Many investors expressed surprise at the shocking increase in domestic gold prices, surpassing all previous forecasts.

In the international market, the spot gold price this morning, Vietnam time, was at 3,547 USD/ounce, up about 17 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. However, compared to the historical peak set in the previous session, today's gold price is still about 30 USD/ounce lower.

However, the world gold price is still at its highest level in history. The USD index is unlikely to break out and is expected to cool down in the near future, when the US Federal Reserve (FED) cuts interest rates; the strong demand for gold from China and the need to seek gold as a safe haven have stimulated the price of this precious metal to set new peaks.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 133.4 million VND/tael.
