Domestic RON 95 gasoline prices have risen again after two consecutive days of declines.
The regulatory agency decided to increase the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline by 740 VND/liter and RON 95 gasoline by 780 VND/liter. After the adjustment, the maximum retail price for E5 RON 92 gasoline is 19,230 VND/liter and for RON 95 gasoline is 19,630 VND/liter.
Similarly, oil prices were also adjusted upwards in this price adjustment period. Specifically, diesel increased by 490 VND/liter to 17,520 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 530 VND/liter to 17,710 VND/liter; and fuel oil increased by 560 VND/kg to 16,520 VND/kg. The inter-ministerial committee maintained that it would not allocate or disburse funds from the price stabilization fund.
Thus, the price of RON 95 gasoline in Vietnam has increased again after two consecutive days of decreases. Currently, the price of this fuel remains at its lowest level in the past four years, equivalent to the level in May 2021. From the beginning of the year until now, RON 95 gasoline has increased 9 times and decreased 8 times. Diesel fuel has increased 8 times, decreased 8 times, and remained unchanged once.
The fuel price stabilization fund of some key enterprises still has a large positive balance because this fund has not been used in many recent price adjustment periods. The fund balance as of the end of 2024 is over 6,072 billion VND. Compared to the end of 2023, this fund balance decreased by nearly 600 billion VND.
