On the evening of September 1st, at the Hai Phong City Theater Square, thousands of Hai Phong city residents and tourists enjoyed the vibrant art program "Melodies of Pride" in joyful celebration of National Day on September 2nd.
The program was directed by the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports and implemented by the City Cultural Center, with artistic direction by the Director of the Cultural Center, Do Thi Khanh Huong.
Music director Thai Son; choreographers include Meritorious Artists Van Dung, Thanh Nam, along with Tien Thuan, Thuy Hau, Phong Thieu, Dinh Phong, Thu Trang, Quang Anh, Ngo Trang...; and performances by Sao Mai Hong Duyen, singers Dat Ozy, Khanh Ngoc, Le Cuong, Tuan Long, Hoang Vuong, Ngoc Hieu, Duc Dai, Nam Giang, Minh Hai, Hai Phong Dance and Music Troupe, Hai Phong College of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Hai Phong Children's Cultural Palace Art Team, Lavish Dance Troupe and Vhunter Kids Dance Troupe.
The art program brought a vibrant atmosphere to the large audience, creating excitement as people everywhere enthusiastically welcomed Independence Day.
Proud of the glorious traditions of the Party, of President Ho Chi Minh, and of our entire nation over the 78 years since our independence, successive generations of people in Hai Phong city have continuously strived in the struggle to protect independence, build the country, and make the city increasingly civilized and modern.

With artistic performances such as "The Spirit of Vietnam," "Vietnam in its Splendor," and "Love of the Port City," meticulously staged with majestic and vibrant songs, brimming with joy and excitement, the event encouraged everyone to happily celebrate Independence Day with many good wishes.
The opening segment, "The Spirit of Vietnam," transports everyone back to the fervent revolutionary years, a spirit of "fighting to the death for the homeland"... through songs such as: "The Spirit of Dai Viet," "Bac Son," "August 19th," "Memories of Cat Bi," "The Sacred Moment with Uncle Ho"...
Moving on to the "Vietnam in Splendor" section with songs like "Hello Vietnam," "My Country Is So Beautiful," "Picturesque Landscape," "Beautiful Vietnam," "Melody of Pride," etc., it introduces to friends from all over the world a beautiful Vietnam, always dynamic, creative, full of vitality, rising strongly and always open to welcoming friends...
And songs like "I Love the Port City," "Our Hai Phong," "The Song of Shrimp and Fish," "The Rhythm of City Life," etc., introduce the love for Hai Phong city shared by generations of people from the port city, who are united in their aspirations and dreams of building and developing the city to reach modernity and international integration.
