In an open cultural space in the heart of the capital, the clear, melodious voices brought joy to the audience on the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1st.
The program was organized by the Hanoi College of Arts and involved many young children who had won prizes in art competitions.
From familiar songs like "Who Loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh ," " Bringing Food to Mother Working in the Fields ," "Little Frog ," and "Swallows of Childhood," to contemporary performances like "Dad Tells Me a Story ," " I Am a Star ," and " When I Grow Up ," each performance carries its own story about childhood, family, homeland, and aspirations for adulthood.
One of the performances that received a lot of attention was the song "My House Has a Flag Hanging On It". through a natural yet emotional performance. In Ha Thuy Tien's artwork, the image of the national flag appears simple yet familiar, evoking a love for the homeland and national pride nurtured from the simplest things in daily life.

The program left a lasting impression on the audience not because of its performance techniques or stage scale, but because of how art became a bridge between generations.
Many older audience members were moved when they heard songs that were part of their childhood. Meanwhile, the children found joy in being on stage, showcasing their talents, and sharing their love of music with the community.
In line with the spirit of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture and Action Program No. 08-CTr/TU of the Hanoi City Party Committee, cultural development should not only focus on preserving traditional values or investing in cultural institutions, but also emphasize building a creative environment where people are both subjects and beneficiaries of culture.

In that context, creating opportunities for the younger generation to participate in public art activities is of particular significance.
Therefore, programs like Community Music not only contribute to enriching the spiritual lives of the people, but also open up opportunities for children to access, practice, and spread cultural values in an open environment.
From a small stage by Hoan Kiem Lake, artistic "seeds" are being sown and nurtured.

Amidst the pedestrian street filled with the laughter of children on International Children's Day, the melodies resounding at the Octagonal House not only concluded a performance but also served as a place where children could nurture their love of art, grow up in a healthy cultural environment, and gradually become future inheritors of the capital's fine values.
