The spirit of the tournament and nearly 200 amateur cyclists registered in advance, said something about the attractiveness of the tournament, coming from 12 units of Binh Thuan province and 8 units from the provinces: Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Ninh Thuan, Dong Thap, Dong Nai and Phu Yen. The athletes competed in the following categories: Men (51 years old and above) running a distance of 35 km; Men's age group 1 (18 - 35 years old) and age group 2 (36 - 50 years old) running a distance of 48 km.

The first Binh Thuan - Ninh Thuan Open Cycling Race in 2023 is also one of the inter-provincial activities jointly organized in response to the National Tourism Year 2023. At the same time, continue to promote the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
According to the Organizing Committee, despite the unfavorable weather due to rain, the athletes still competed with great effort, the speed of the race was pushed very high. Besides, although it is a grassroots race, the professional quality is not much inferior to professional races. The first tournament has created excitement and enthusiasm for athletes and fans. Hopefully, the next tournaments will be better organized with higher quality.
With a spectacular victory to win the cup at a distance of 48 km, 19-year-old Pham Duc Hung left an impression on the audience. “The first time coming to Phan Thiet, the first time participating in a tournament here and luck has come to me, I am very happy and joyful. Although I have only been practicing for a short time, at first only to improve my health, because I have a history of heart disease. However, when I entered this sport, I was attracted to it”.
At the end of the tournament, in the men's age group 1 (from 18 - 35 years old): athlete Pham Duc Hung (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) won first prize, second prize went to athlete Tran Ngoc Thai (Binh Thuan), athlete Nguyen Tan Phat (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) won third prize; in the men's age group 2 (from 36 - 50 years old): athlete Duong Minh Quang (Binh Thuan) won first prize, second prize went to athlete Do Tuan Anh (Dong Thap) and athlete Dang Phuoc Hoa (Dong Thap) won third prize; in the men's age group (from 51 years old and up): athlete Trang Van Dung won first prize, Nguyen Van Chinh won second prize, Nguyen Van Hoan won third prize, all 3 athletes are from Dong Nai .
Closing the tournament with many emotions, the weather on the competition day was rainy and long, the race track was wet, causing many athletes to fall into a difficult situation. Also because of the rain, the summary and award ceremony was also difficult and took a lot of time to evaluate the team results. Almost all cameras were covered by rain water, making it impossible to see clearly, the number worn by the athletes to calculate the team points. For the first time, a sports tournament fell into a difficult situation for the Organizing Committee and it took a lot of time to evaluate and award the prizes.
