National Youth Karate Championship 2023: Binh Duong won 5 gold medals

(BDO) With the achievement of winning 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, the Binh Duong youth Karate team ended the tournament in 7th place overall.

Taking place in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa from June 9 to 18, 2023, the 2023 National Youth Karate Championship attracted nearly 800 young martial artists from 40 teams across the country to compete. Of which, Binh Duong Youth Karate Team participated in the tournament with 20 athletes, competing in the age groups of 14-15, 16-17 and 18-22.

In the final results, Binh Duong won 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. Of which, 5 gold medals of the team came from the following categories: Age group from 18 - 22, Truong Nam Tien (gold medal - 50kg), Luu Vo Anh Duy (gold medal - 70kg) and 1 gold medal in the men's team Kumite category. In the age group from 16 - 17, Nguyen Son Truong (gold medal - 70kg), age group from 14 - 15 Pham Nguyen Anh Hau (gold medal - over 60kg).

With the above achievements, the Binh Duong Youth Karate Team finished in 7th place and successfully completed the target set before participating in the tournament. In which, the top 3 positions belonged to Hanoi with 10 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 17 bronze medals; Ho Chi Minh City came in second with 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 18 bronze medals; the third place overall belonged to Ha Tinh with 8 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.
