Organized by Tekmonk Institute of Technology, part of Hanoi Telecom Group, the tournament is a leading intellectual playground for students who love programming.

With a mission to bring programming closer to the younger generation, the Tekmonk Coding Olympiad is not just a competition, but also an opportunity for students to develop logical thinking and hone their practical problem-solving skills.

At this point, the competition has completed the online qualifying round. Next, the preliminary round will take place in March, combining online and in-person participation.

In Hanoi , candidates will take the exam in person, while candidates from other localities will take the exam online as announced.

Candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Round based on the scoring criteria will be contacted directly via email or through their school/teacher representative to inform them about participating in the National Round.

The results are officially announced on the competition website.

Based on the results of the Preliminary Round, the Organizing Committee will send notifications and registration instructions to eligible candidates via email and information about their school/teacher representative.

The results of the Preliminary Round will also select outstanding contestants to compete in the Final Round next April.

Candidates are not allowed to use AI.

To ensure suitability for each age group and strength of the contestants, Tekmonk Coding Olympiad 2025 is divided into 3 main categories, each with its own goals, format, and programming language: Category A, Category B, and Category C.

In Group A, the competition is specifically for contestants passionate about the Apple ecosystem and the Swift programming language/Swift Playground applications. The competition is designed to encourage students to engage with modern and professional mobile programming.

Contestants are required to have an iPad (iPadOS 17.0 or higher) or a Macbook (running macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or higher) with the latest version of Swift Playground installed.

Group B is for contestants who are passionate about creativity and want to transform their imagination into useful digital products such as games, simulation software, learning applications, or interactive stories... to solve practical problems.

The submitted innovative product has never won any awards in national-level competitions or contests.

In Group C, contestants apply their programming knowledge and skills to complete challenges on the CodeCombat platform.

Contestants who won first, second, or third place in Categories A, B, or C of the CodeCombat Challenge at the Tekmonk Coding Olympiad 2024 are not eligible to re-enter at the same level.

According to the regulations, candidates are not allowed to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to directly assist during the exam, but they are permitted to use AI as a reference tool to support their revision and preparation before the exam.

In the event that a submission is found to contain AI in violation of regulations, the Examination Board reserves the right to disqualify all or part of the submission, and the candidate's final score will only be calculated based on the valid content.

In the National Round, the Organizing Committee will award First, Second, Third, Consolation, and Potential prizes for each category, including medals, certificates, and valuable prizes.

This year's tournament features a diverse range of platforms and programming languages, from Swift Playgrounds and Scratch drag-and-drop programming to Python and gamified CodeCombat. The tournament is suitable for students of all ages and skill levels.

With the mission of bringing programming closer to young people, the Tekmonk Coding Olympiad helps students develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity to create useful technological products.
