To meet the transaction needs of customers during the first days of the Lunar New Year, banks are increasing their staff and making thorough preparations with promotional programs and New Year's lucky money gifts. These offers are not only for customers depositing savings, but some banks are also extending incentives to customers who come to transact, open cards, transfer money, etc.
Right from the start of the morning on January 6th, Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), Phu Tho Branch, welcomed a large number of customers coming to carry out transaction procedures. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Head of Customer Transaction Department, SHB Bank, Phu Tho Branch, said: “To ensure smooth operations, the bank proactively developed a plan and emphasized the tasks to be done before, during, and after Tet, promptly meeting customer needs at all times. On the first day of transactions after the long holiday, the number of customers coming to transact was double that of a normal day, with many different financial purposes, the most numerous being customers coming to deposit savings for good luck. To show gratitude to customers and spread the message of a prosperous new year, SHB Bank is launching the “Lucky Red Envelope for the Year of the Snake” program from February 3-7, 2025, which is from the 6th to the 10th day of the first lunar month. Accordingly, the first 30 customers who come to transact on the first day of Tet (the 6th) and the God of Wealth Day (the 10th) will receive red envelopes, and the first 15 customers on the 7th, 8th, and 9th days will also receive red envelopes. The program applies to transactions such as: Savings deposits, loans, successful registration and activation of VCB Digibank, issuance/renewal of international debit/credit cards, purchase of FWD life insurance, international money transfers and receipts, purchase of premium account numbers, etc.

Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBBank) kicks off the Lunar New Year with the "Instant Lucky Money - A New Year of Abundant Blessings" program, running from February 3rd to 13th. This program applies to customers depositing savings of 100 million VND or more for a term of 6 months or longer, or purchasing certificates of deposit of 50 million VND or more for a term of 1 month or longer, with newly registered certificates of deposit and newly opened savings accounts.
Vietnam Prosperity Commercial Bank (VPBank) celebrates the Lunar New Year with the "Tet is Coming - Good Fortune Returns" program, running from February 3rd to May 3rd, 2025. This program applies to new customers who deposit savings of 100 million VND or more with a term of 6 months or longer. Customers will receive a cash gift of up to 200,000 VND per deposit, based on the deposit amount.
Other banks in the province are also implementing a series of promotional programs to attract customers to deposit savings and conduct transactions.
