Daegu FC is a team with a rich tradition in South Korea. They finished as runners-up in K-League 1 in 2016. Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC is one of the most famous clubs in South Korea, boasting many national team players and having won the K-League 1 nine times, most recently in 2021. The team has also won the AFC Champions League twice and is currently participating in the AFC Champions League Two, having earned 6 points after three matches and currently sitting second in Group H.

Notably, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors is also the team that coach Kim Sang-sik was associated with both as a player and as a head coach. That's why, despite having a busy schedule, the team was still willing to act as a "sparring partner" to help the Vietnamese national team gain experience before concluding their training camp in South Korea.
After arriving in South Korea, the Vietnamese national team maintained a training schedule of two sessions per day. Morning sessions focused on physical conditioning, while afternoon sessions, under coach Kim Sang-sik, focused on tactical training, improving teamwork and coordination, and practicing both offensive and defensive drills.
