New playground
Having just returned from filming season 3 of the program "The 9th Hour," Mr. Doan Tien Son, Head of the Plastic Molding Department's Trade Union at Nissei Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Cam Giang), was still very enthusiastic. Mr. Son said: "It's a new playground for workers. In this playground, we can share our feelings about work and life."
Participating in the third season of the "9th Hour" program, the Hai Duong Labor Union selected workers from two enterprises: Nissei Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. and GFT Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tu Ky). This year's "9th Hour" program has three parts: A Brilliant Departure; An Emotional Journey; and A Prize-Winning Finish. After each part of the competition, the unit with the best performance will be selected to receive an award.

The teams prepared many lively performances for each competition segment, showcasing the talents of the workers, such as cheerleading, folk dancing, and group performances. Each segment had its own unique and attractive features, drawing in the participants, with the "Journey of Emotions" segment leaving the strongest impression. In this segment, workers vividly portrayed stories about their lives and difficult circumstances. Through this, they highlighted the efforts of Hai Duong workers in their work, their successful completion of tasks, or their innovative ideas, inspiring all workers and viewers.
Ms. Dang Nhu Quynh, a worker at GFT Vietnam Co., Ltd., said this was the first time she had participated in such a large and meaningful event. In the spacious studio of Vietnam Television, Ms. Quynh, like many other workers, was excited and had a great time. “We saw the power of solidarity in the competition and in supporting and helping each other in each part of the competition. This was also a way to interact, connect, and strengthen unity in labor and production,” Ms. Quynh said.
Temporarily leaving their familiar factory spaces, the workers and laborers of Hai Duong have overcome their own limitations and conquered the challenges of the "9th Hour" program.
Reduce work pressure.

Mr. Dao Xuan Kha, Chairman of the Trade Union of GFT Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that although the preparation time was limited because the workers were still focused on production, everyone was enthusiastic during the training sessions. "This is a meaningful program because after stressful working hours, workers have the opportunity to participate in a large-scale recreational activity that both entertains them and helps them learn basic legal knowledge, improving their spiritual well-being," Mr. Kha said.

"The 9th Hour" is a television program for Vietnamese workers and laborers after work hours. The program provides workers and laborers with relaxing and entertaining moments, contributing to improved awareness, professional skills, and work ethics. From there, it inspires a desire for contribution among union members, young people, and workers towards their respective agencies and businesses.
Mr. Do Van Sanh, Head of the Propaganda and Women's Affairs Department (Hai Duong Provincial Labor Union), said that this is the second season that the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Union has participated in the "9th Hour" program. The participating teams are selected from enterprises with strong labor union and worker movements. Each year, the program introduces new features, and the organizing committee clearly announces them so that teams can prepare thoroughly for the competition. To perform well on this large stage, the workers selected to participate are those who have knowledge of labor law, insurance, and trade union organization; they can adapt flexibly to situations that arise during filming and are able to inspire other workers with their real-life stories about life and production.
“The grassroots trade unions meticulously practiced various cultural performances and presentation techniques to achieve excellent scores and win prizes for their teams. All the competitions attracted large numbers of workers to cheer them on, thereby spreading joy, unity, and trust in the trade union organization,” Mr. Sanh said.
The "9th Hour" program is divided into three parts. In the first part, "Brilliant Departure," two teams take turns showcasing their talents through a cheerleading, folk dance, group performance, modern dance, etc. The judges select the winning performance to award prizes. From the two teams' performances, the judges also select two individuals to receive individual awards called "Rising Stars." The second part, "Journey of Emotions," features stories about workers and laborers facing difficult circumstances but always striving in their work. Players tell their own stories, with illustrations or the participation of team members, and artifacts related to the story. Afterwards, the judges comment, share their thoughts, and select the most inspiring story to receive a prize from the program. In the third round – “Finish Line and Win Prizes,” the judges randomly select three members from each team to advance. Before each question, a prize box containing a valuable prize appears to motivate the team to conquer it…
