Introducing the application of AI in the treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases.

The Vietnam Society of Otolaryngology, in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Federation of Otolaryngology Societies, is organizing the 20th Southeast Asian Otolaryngology Conference, combined with the 26th National Scientific Conference on Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, from October 13-15 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), under the theme "Southeast Asian Federation of Otolaryngology Societies: Connecting and Succeeding".

The conference was a vibrant scientific forum with the presence of more than 250 speakers, including leading professors, researchers, and ENT doctors from Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, and from around the world such as the United States, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc., along with the participation of more than 1,500 domestic and international delegates.

At this conference, many topics related to the nose and sinuses, larynx, neuro-auditory, pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, plastic surgery, sleep medicine, and advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery were shared and discussed.

In addition, several training sessions will be held alongside the conference at the National Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Tam Anh General Hospital, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine Hospital, introducing new techniques in advanced ear surgery, cochlear implant surgery, and temporal bone surgery, with the aim of improving professional knowledge in the examination and treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Phan Chung Thuy, President of the Vietnam Otolaryngology Association, said that this conference will feature many new studies presented by world experts, the latest of which is the application of AI in the treatment of ENT diseases; cochlear electroencephalography (CEE) treatment for children with profound congenital deafness...

Over the three days of the conference held in Hanoi, with two plenary sessions, 38 scientific sessions, six thematic workshops, and hundreds of scientific reports and wall posters, the conference presented and analyzed in depth, from research to practical examination and treatment of typical cases in ear, nose, and throat, including experts in nasal-sinus, ear-auditory, laryngolaryngology-pediatric ear, nose, and throat surgery.

A series of other fascinating reports on head and neck surgery were also presented at the conference, based on scientific research and evidence. The updated knowledge from around the world, along with the exchange and interaction with highly knowledgeable and experienced clinical professors, can be practically applied in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
