Introducing AI applications in the treatment of ENT diseases

The Vietnam Otolaryngology Association in collaboration with the Federation of Southeast Asian Otolaryngology Associations organized for the first time the 20th Southeast Asian Otolaryngology Conference combined with the 26th National Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Scientific Conference from October 13-15 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi) with the theme "The Federation of Southeast Asian Otolaryngology Associations connects and succeeds".

The conference is a vibrant scientific forum with the presence of more than 250 speakers who are professors, researchers and leading otolaryngologists from Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam and around the world such as the US, France, Australia, Japan, Korea... with the participation of more than 1,500 domestic and international delegates.

At this conference, many topics related to sinus, laryngopharynx, neuro-auditory, pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, plastic surgery and sleep medicine and advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery were shared and discussed.

In addition, there will be many training courses on the sidelines of the conference taking place at the Central ENT Hospital, Tam Anh General Hospital and Ho Chi Minh City Medical University Hospital to introduce new techniques in advanced ear surgery, cochlear implantation and temporal bone surgery, aiming to improve professional knowledge in the examination and treatment of ENT diseases.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Phan Chung Thuy, President of the Vietnam Otolaryngology Association, said that this conference will have many new studies presented by world experts, in which the latest research is the application of AI in the treatment of ENT diseases; cochlear implant treatment for children with congenital profound deafness...

During the 3-day conference held in Hanoi, with 2 plenary sessions, 38 scientific sessions, 6 thematic workshops and hundreds of scientific reports and wall newspapers, the research and practical examination and treatment of typical cases in ENT were introduced and analyzed extensively, including experts in nose-sinus, ear-audiology, laryngopharynx-pediatric otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery.

A series of other interesting reports on head and neck surgery were also recorded at the conference program based on research and scientific evidence. The knowledge was updated worldwide, and at the same time, it was exchanged and contacted with teachers who were rich in knowledge and rich in clinical practice experience, which can be applied practically in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
