(NLĐO) - A young man in Ninh Binh was fined 5 million VND for sharing an article on his personal Facebook page that introduced a website organizing gambling.
On January 25th, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police announced that the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Ninh Binh Provincial Police, in coordination with the Inspectorate of the Ninh Binh Department of Information and Communications, had questioned Le Dai Lam (born in 2000, residing in Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district) to clarify his actions of "Providing and sharing fabricated information that causes public panic, incites violence, crime, social evils, gambling, or facilitates gambling."

Previously, through intelligence gathering, authorities determined that Le Dai Lam had used his personal phone number to register a Facebook account under the name "Le Dai Lam," and then posted and shared articles on his personal Facebook page introducing a website that organized gambling and betting in the form of card games with prize payouts.
During questioning by authorities, Le Dai Lam admitted to his wrongdoing.
Based on the provisions of Decree No. 15 dated February 3, 2020; and Decree No. 14/2022 dated January 27, 2022 of the Government stipulating administrative penalties for violations in the fields of postal services, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology, network information security and electronic transactions, the Ninh Binh provincial authorities have issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of 5 million VND on Le Dai Lam, ordering him to remove the information and sign a commitment not to repeat the offense.
