EVN's "Pink Drop"

The EVN Pink Week, launched by the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), has entered its 11th year. This year, with the message "Thousands of hearts - One spirit," the program is organized with the desire to convey a consistent viewpoint: responsibility towards customers, partners, the community, and the future of the country is an indispensable part of EVN's mission.

Officials and employees of Phu Tho Power Company participate in the "EVN Pink Week".

Over the years, together with the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), this activity has attracted a large number of officials and employees of the Phu Tho electricity sector to participate and join hands with the whole society in donating blood to save lives.

At Phu Tho Power Company, voluntary blood donation is no longer a spontaneous movement but has become an integral part of the company's culture, maintained regularly for many years. This spirit has spread strongly from the Board of Directors to every officer and employee, from departments to the subordinate power management teams. Many officers and employees have become "familiar faces" during the meaningful humanitarian week of the power industry. Ms. Nguyen Hoang Huong - from the Hoa Binh power management team said: "I have participated in blood donation 14-15 times, sometimes through local programs, but mainly I participate in blood donation at the 'EVN Red Week'. For me, this has become a familiar annual activity when the agency launches it. I simply think that when people need it, I donate, because it is very possible that at some point I or my family members will also need that blood."

Having participated in blood donation 10 times, Nguyen Quang Dat - a specialist in the Organization and Human Resources Department - shared: “When I was a student, I participated in voluntary blood donation many times. I see this as a program with great humanitarian significance; somewhere in the hospital, there are people waiting for each unit of blood to regain their lives. Therefore, blood donation is something everyone should do when they have the opportunity. Helping those in need of blood makes me very happy. Since working at Phu Tho Power Company, the power industry organizes the "EVN Red Week" program every year, and I continue to participate with the hope of contributing a small part to saving patients' lives.”

In their stories shared with us, the familiar faces of the Pink Week participants all recounted their initial nervousness and anxiety, but later embarked on a long journey of dedication and unwavering commitment to the program. This is how the staff and workers of the power industry demonstrate their responsibility to the community. The enthusiasm of staff members like Ms. Huong and Mr. Dat contributed to the vibrant atmosphere from the very beginning of the campaign. On December 12th alone, Phu Tho Power Company donated 153 units of blood, making a practical contribution to the blood reserve for emergency and treatment purposes at medical facilities in the province.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Nhu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Phu Tho Power Company, said: "The EVN Pink Week is an activity that Phu Tho Power Company regularly participates in and maintains every year, but each year brings new value. The program not only demonstrates social responsibility but also reflects the beautiful culture of the power industry. When cadres and employees proactively participate in blood donation, we feel the spirit of solidarity and compassion spreading strongly. The company always considers this a humane activity that needs to be sustainably promoted. Many cadres and employees who were previously hesitant have now boldly participated, even becoming regular blood donation volunteers."

2025 marks the 11th year that the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has implemented the "Pink Week" program with the slogan "Thousands of hearts - One spirit" - a humanitarian activity aimed at encouraging employees throughout the industry to actively participate in blood donation, supplementing the blood reserves for hospitals, and also commemorating the 71st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Electricity Industry (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2025) and EVN's Customer Appreciation Month. From the compassionate blood donations received during this week, the spirit of sharing and social responsibility of the electricians in Phu Tho province continues to be affirmed. The 11th EVN Pink Week not only contributes to the province's blood bank but also helps build the image of friendly, dedicated electricians who always care about the community.
