In his opening remarks, Associate Professor and Doctor of Music Do Hong Quan, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , affirmed that the core value of performing arts lies in the artist's talent being authentically showcased to the audience. However, alongside achievements, artistic life is facing negative phenomena that need to be frankly acknowledged. These include dishonesty in performances, such as lip-syncing and music playback, which are eroding the true value of theatrical art; the emergence of many songs with simplistic, offensive lyrics, focusing on monotonous ego and lacking artistic merit. In particular, the overuse of AI technology in songwriting leads to products lacking genuine emotion and causing offense to listeners… This is an alarming phenomenon that needs to be rectified promptly.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Tran Thanh Lam pointed out that the digital age and artificial intelligence pose many challenges to creators. According to Comrade Tran Thanh Lam, creative freedom is a sacred right, but freedom must always be linked to civic and professional responsibility. Every work of art, when disseminated, whether in the physical space or online environment, has a profound impact on the awareness and soul of society, especially the younger generation. Therefore, artists need not only talent to beautify life but also a pure heart to guide the public's aesthetic sense. An artist's reputation must be built on genuine talent and lasting recognition from the people, not on virtual media effects.

Many opinions at the seminar also highlighted the responsibilities of collectives and individuals regarding the aforementioned situation; and simultaneously proposed effective solutions to gradually address and resolve these problems. Among these, many recommendations suggested that relevant authorities should introduce sufficiently strong regulations and penalties to overcome existing shortcomings and promote the restoration of literature and art to their rightful role, position, and function in social life.
