Keep the names of Phu Tho province's specialized high schools after the merger

GD&TĐ - From July 1, Phu Tho province has 3 Specialized High Schools and these schools will keep the same names as before the province merged.

On July 9, information from the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, has just signed and issued Decision No. 13/2025/QD-UBND stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in performing the function of state management of education at the local level, guiding the People's Committees at the commune level in performing state management of education and is responsible to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training in organizing, directing and inspecting educational activities under its management authority according to regulations.

Phu Tho Department of Education and Training consists of 11 staff offices and 158 public service units under the Department.

Among the 158 public service units, there are 3 specialized high schools: Vinh Phuc Specialized High School (formerly Vinh Phuc), Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School (formerly Hoa Binh ) and Hung Vuong Specialized High School (formerly Phu Tho).

Most educational institutions will retain their names as before the province's merger.

Some educational units in the old Vinh Phuc province had to change their names, including: Vinh Phuc Provincial Continuing Education Center changed to Vinh Phuc Continuing Education Center; Vinh Phuc Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School changed to Vinh Phuc Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School.

Similarly, some educational units in the old Hoa Binh province will also change their names, such as Hoa Binh Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities will change to Hoa Binh Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities; Hoa Binh Provincial Continuing Education Center will change to Hoa Binh Continuing Education Center.

The district and city-level Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers of Hoa Binh and Phu Tho provinces will also have their names removed from the district and city levels.
