Given the complexities of public security and traffic safety, especially at night and during the period leading up to the holiday, the Provincial Police directed Task Forces 21 and 238 to intensify patrols and control, covering all areas to create a deterrent and suppress crime. With core forces including the 113 Police, Criminal Police, Traffic Police, and Mobile Police, these task forces have formed a comprehensive and interconnected network across key routes and areas. Simultaneously, police in communes and wards have strengthened their intelligence gathering and suspect management, playing a key role in ensuring public security at the grassroots level. Regularly disseminate and educate the public on the law, warning about the methods and tactics of various types of crimes, especially theft and robbery, to raise awareness among the entire population in self-prevention, self-management, and self-protection, as well as actively supporting and assisting the police force in protecting national security.
A professional briefing meeting was held at the Song Doc Border Guard Station before the patrol team deployed to ensure security and order during the April 30th and May 1st holidays.

Maintain smooth transportation operations and strictly handle traffic violations.
To best serve the travel needs of the people and ensure smooth and safe transportation, the Prime Minister has issued a directive requesting ministries, sectors, and localities to focus on implementing comprehensive solutions. These include increasing transportation capacity, especially passenger transport; ensuring convenient connections at railway stations, airports, bus stations, and ports; and preventing shortages of vehicles due to businesses reducing trips when fuel prices rise. Simultaneously, plans should be developed to increase transportation capacity and ensure traffic safety throughout the period before, during, and after the holiday; and to strengthen inspections and enforcement of violations in transportation businesses, especially for contract vehicles, fixed-route passenger buses, waterway transport, and operations at transportation hubs. The government must resolutely address and rectify instances of price gouging and illegal fare increases.
Specifically for police forces at all levels and localities, the Prime Minister requested increased patrols and inspections, strict handling of violations of traffic safety laws; focusing on addressing offenses that are direct causes of accidents; and promptly preventing illegal racing and gatherings that disrupt public order.
The An Xuyen Ward Police patrol team held a meeting to discuss plans for night patrols to ensure good security and order in the area during the holiday.
Following the directives of the Ministry of Public Security and the Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Police regarding the intensified crackdown on crime and ensuring security, order, and traffic safety during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day, and International Labor Day, the Traffic Police Department, in coordination with other functional forces, has implemented comprehensive and decisive measures to maintain road and inland waterway traffic safety, ensuring the safety of people traveling and visiting before, during, and after the holidays.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Hoai Vu, Head of the Staff Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Police, stated: "The traffic police force is determined to do a good job of patrolling, controlling, and regulating traffic to ensure traffic safety in the areas where commemorative activities are taking place, preventing traffic congestion. In addition, we will educate and remind people to comply with traffic safety laws, as well as support and assist people in their journey home for the holidays, ensuring a smooth, safe, and convenient trip."
