Helping people reduce poverty.

Through the implementation of many synchronized solutions, poverty reduction efforts in Phu Ninh commune, Phu Ninh district, have achieved positive results, helping people increase their income, improve their living standards, and contribute to the completion of the National Target Program on poverty reduction and new rural development in the locality.

Many households in Phu Ninh commune are involved in the production and sale of seedlings, contributing to increased income, sustainable poverty reduction, and the development of new rural areas in the locality.

To reduce poverty rates and improve people's lives, the Party Committee and the commune government directed the transformation of crop and livestock structures; regularly encouraged and supported people to promote the application of scientific and technological advancements in production and business, and develop diverse occupations. The commune focused on helping poor households access and borrow preferential credit to develop production; promoted labor export counseling, disseminated support policies from higher levels, and promptly informed each residential area about the needs of companies recruiting workers for overseas employment, creating conditions for people to access preferential loan sources for labor export.

The commune actively directs the completion of production plans, effectively carries out irrigation work, prevents and controls natural disasters, and controls diseases in crops and livestock; resolutely integrates and effectively utilizes state budget funds, actively implements social mobilization in building advanced new rural areas, accelerates the progress of construction projects and works; creates favorable conditions for people and businesses to stabilize and develop production and business; ensures security, order and social safety; effectively implements policies for people with meritorious services, job creation, poverty reduction and social security... Focusing all resources and improving the effectiveness of support programs to help poor, near-poor, and newly-escaped-from-poverty households overcome difficulties and achieve sustainable poverty alleviation.

Comrade Khuat Quang Quy, Vice Chairman of the Phu Ninh Commune People's Committee, said: “In order to help people have stable jobs and gradually eliminate poverty, the commune creates conditions and focuses on promoting propaganda and organizing people to participate in knowledge training, vocational training, and job searching; shifting the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity production, increasing the value of agricultural production; diversifying trade and service industries, creating conditions to attract businesses and create new jobs for people. Thanks to this, more and more effective farming and livestock models are appearing in the commune, helping people increase their income and improve their living standards...”.

Furthermore, the Dong Lang and Tu Da - An Dao industrial clusters have many companies and businesses registered to operate in production and trade, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers and contributing to the shift in labor structure from agriculture and rural areas to industrial labor, thus contributing to sustainable socio -economic development in the region.

Thanks to the synchronized implementation of various solutions, the material and spiritual lives of the people in the commune have improved significantly, and the rural landscape is becoming increasingly vibrant. Currently, there are 474 households in the commune engaged in production and business in fields such as mechanics, welding, aluminum and glass processing, carpentry, automobile and motorbike repair, restaurants, guesthouses, eateries, grocery stores, garment manufacturing, packaging, forestry seedlings, and ornamental plants... bringing considerable income to the people. In the first eight months of 2024 alone, the average per capita income reached 64 million VND, the rate of trained and skilled labor reached 97.9%, the poverty rate was 0.9%, and the near-poverty rate was 0.75%. The commune is progressing towards building an advanced new rural commune.
