"Some content that is only available in the Album Archive will be deleted starting July 19," Google said in an email to users. This includes album thumbnails, comments, or likes; Hangouts data from the Album Archive; and background images downloaded from Gmail themes before 2018.
Clicking on the link provided by Google will bring up the old gallery, with a notable album called Photos from Hangouts. Google says this is Photos and videos shared on Hangouts by users, organized by conversation. Some albums contain multiple photos sent through the Google Chat app.
What's confusing, however, is that if you choose to delete the entire Photo Album directly here, Google says that copies of photos and videos may exist in Google Photos.

This move once again shows that the company wants to clean up old applications that are no longer attractive to users. According to 9to5google , these are applications left over from the Google+ social network project that was terminated by the company in April 2019.
Earlier on May 15, Google announced the sale of its domain name business, Google Domains, to Squarespace for about $180 million. This service currently hosts more than 10 million domains for millions of users.
Google says that Album Archive will no longer be accessible starting July 19, 2023, and recommends that users download a copy of their data via Takeout before then. If you've ever used Google Chat and Hangouts to make calls to friends, you should save photos from these Albums before the search giant deletes them.
