A celebration of faith and responsibility
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (87 years old, Tam Thang ward): I have participated in many elections and always consider this a very important political event. For me, each ballot contains the trust of the voter, so before going to vote, I always take the time to carefully research information about the candidates. I hope that those elected will pay more attention to social welfare policies, healthcare, living conditions and the living environment of the people, especially the elderly.

Major Le Van Manh (Command of Defense Zone 6 - Con Dao Special Zone): I place my full trust in the candidates who are both dedicated and capable. My greatest expectation is that those elected will always be attentive and give special attention to leading, directing, and supporting the armed forces in this frontline area. At the same time, I hope that this attention will quickly translate into practical policies, helping the Con Dao Special Zone maximize its potential, successfully achieve development targets, and stand firm in the new opportunities of the future.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung (Tan Tao Ward): Through monitoring information about the candidates at my workplace and through the company's internal channels, I see that the candidates' action programs specifically address social housing, schools for workers' children, food safety, and healthcare. These are all very relevant issues that directly impact the quality of life of workers. Therefore, I voted hoping to choose someone who truly understands what workers need. I expect that after the election, these commitments will soon be concretized through clear policies and actions.

Ms. Luong Hoang Hoa (Vietnamese of Chinese descent, An Dong Ward): I am very excited to participate directly in the election, exercising my rights and responsibilities as a citizen. The Chinese community in Ho Chi Minh City has always strictly adhered to policies and guidelines, actively participating in local activities, so I am even more aware of my responsibilities on election day. I hope voters will turn out fully and wisely choose truly reputable and responsible individuals. I am particularly interested in and hope that policies for women will be more practical, helping women to have more opportunities to develop their family's economy , participate in social activities, and contribute to the community. Besides that, I also hope the city will continue to pay attention to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Chinese community.

Ms. Ha Kim Son (Binh Thanh Ward): In recent days, thanks to the local authorities' focused propaganda efforts and the provision of information about the candidates through audiobooks and Braille, I have had the opportunity to thoroughly research the biographies and action programs of the candidates to choose a suitable representative. What gives me confidence are the commitments related to the lives of disadvantaged workers, especially the concern for people with disabilities. For us, being listened to and mentioned in the action programs is a great encouragement. I am visually impaired and have difficulty getting around, so being provided with transportation to the polling station is very meaningful to me. This preparation shows that the election process is becoming increasingly thorough, creating conditions for all citizens to fully exercise their rights.

A term of action, innovation, and breakthrough.
Colonel Tran Cong Toan, Deputy Head of the Military Research and Editorial Department, National Defense Magazine, General Political Department, Ministry of National Defense : Voters want elected representatives to truly be people of the people, by the people, and for the people; to engage with voters genuinely, listen to and truthfully reflect the voice of the people. Voters also hope that this term will be a term of action, innovation, and breakthroughs; unlocking resources for development, promoting the digital economy, green economy, innovation, and enhancing national competitiveness.

Keep your promises to the people, act for the people.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Van (Ba Ria Ward): I expect that the commune-level People's Council representatives in the next term will better fulfill their roles at the grassroots level, especially in the context of the two-tiered local government model being implemented. Candidates in the locality, in addition to a sense of responsibility, must also have a firm grasp of legal regulations, urban management, and the ability to understand the new development requirements of the locality. From there, elected representatives can participate in making decisions on issues directly affecting the lives of local people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duc (Long Hai commune): The fishing industry is currently facing many difficulties, from unpredictable weather and rising fuel prices to declining marine resources and unstable markets. What we need is not only support but also specific policies to help fishermen feel secure in staying at sea and developing their livelihoods in the long term. Along with that, we need investment in fishing infrastructure (such as fishing ports and safe mooring areas) to reduce risks in the production process. I hope that the elected delegates will pay due attention to the coastal area, because developing the marine economy is not only about people's livelihoods but also linked to exploiting local potential.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung (Phu Loi Ward): I believe that voters will choose outstanding and capable individuals to represent the will and aspirations of the electorate. I expect that after the expansion, the city will better utilize the potential and advantages of each area, including the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong regions. If the city wants to progress quickly and go far, it needs a team of elected representatives who are not only close to reality but also have a long-term vision. Through observing the voter outreach sessions, I see that many candidates have demonstrated a sense of responsibility and serious preparation. I hope that, whether elected or not, they will continue to contribute their intellect and dedication to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City.
