Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1686/QD-TTg approving the Planning of Ha Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to approval, the planning scope and boundaries include the entire natural area of Ha Nam province with an area of 861.93 km2; including 06 district-level administrative units: Phu Ly city, Duy Tien town and Kim Bang, Thanh Liem, Ly Nhan and Binh Luc districts. The North borders the capital Hanoi , the East borders Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces, the South borders Nam Dinh province, the Southwest borders Ninh Binh province and the West borders Hoa Binh province.
The goal by 2030 is to build Ha Nam province into a rich, beautiful, civilized province, striving to achieve a fairly high level of development in the Red River Delta; to become an environmentally friendly high-tech industrial center with great socio -economic efficiency; a cultural tourism center associated with spiritual cultural tourism, resorts, entertainment, recreation, and sports.
Ha Nam develops high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, commodity production with high productivity, quality and value; has a high labor productivity growth rate on the basis of promoting the effective application of science - technology and innovation in socio-economic development and environmental protection and improving human resource quality; the fields of culture, society, ecological environment, social security, material and spiritual life of the people are ensured and constantly improved.
In terms of economy, strive for an average economic growth rate (GRDP) of about 11.2% per year in the 2021 - 2030 period. The economic structure of industry - construction accounts for 70.5%, the service sector accounts for 26%, and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounts for 3.5%. GRDP per capita reaches over 230 million VND. In the period 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Ha Nam will develop urban - industrial - high-tech - commercial tourism services.
