
The report presented at the conference showed that the unit had completed and exceeded many important production and business targets. Specifically, passenger transport volume reached over 20.68 million passengers, exceeding the plan by 7.13%. Of which, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong Line 2A transported over 13.68 million passengers, exceeding the annual plan by 7.4% and increasing by 15.3% compared to the 2024 performance.
Revenue from tickets reached over 143 billion VND, exceeding the assigned plan by 29.09%, thereby contributing to a reduction of over 31 billion VND in subsidies from the city budget. Of this, route 2A achieved revenue of 97.78 billion VND, an increase of 26.6% compared to the plan and a 28.9% increase compared to 2024.
Operational safety continued to be ensured with 161,611 passenger train journeys, covering a total distance of 1,756,495 km, maintaining safe operation throughout 365 days. Scheduled maintenance and servicing were carried out at nearly 100% of the planned timeframe.
The average income of employees reached 13.5 million VND/month, an increase of 26.08% compared to 2024, contributing to improving living standards and creating motivation for the staff.
In 2025, Hanoi Metro achieved three breakthroughs: impressive growth in output and revenue; streamlining of the organizational structure; and effective implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW through the upgrading of the electronic ticketing system using biometrics, identity authentication, and cashless payment.
This is considered a significant step in Hanoi Metro's digital transformation process, with the successful implementation of an electronic identification, authentication, and biometric recognition system on Line 2A Cat Linh – Ha Dong from December 5, 2025. Following this milestone, the modern technology system will continue to be tested on Line 3.1 Nhon – Hanoi Station from January 1, 2026, with the two lines expected to be operational and interconnected from February 1, 2026, aiming to build a smart, convenient, and safe metro for passengers.
In 2026, Hanoi Metro has set key objectives including: operating existing lines safely and efficiently; gradually mastering technology; perfecting a streamlined organizational model linked to digital transformation; effectively utilizing infrastructure; and being ready to receive new lines. The company aims to increase ticket sales and revenue by over 11% , with service revenue exceeding 30 billion VND , towards building a modern, professional, and sustainable Hanoi Metro.
