Having worked at the Phu My Fertilizer Plant for over 12 years, Mr. Ngo Van Dinh, a specialist and Head of the Dynamic Equipment Team in the Technical Department, has left his mark with many practical technical innovations, contributing to improving equipment reliability and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the production line. After completing his postgraduate program in 2011, Mr. Ngo Van Dinh joined the Phu My Fertilizer Plant, a subsidiary of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation (PVFCCo - Phu My), a member unit of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group (Petrovietnam). Initially, adapting to a modern work environment with advanced technology and equipment previously only known from books, he felt somewhat overwhelmed. However, the professional work environment and the willingness of senior colleagues to share their experience helped him mature step by step through each maintenance period, each troubleshooting session, and each specialized training course.

As a dynamic equipment specialist, Mr. Dinh's job is not simply about monitoring machinery operation. He is responsible for managing, supervising, and advising on equipment status; monitoring maintenance and repair work; coordinating the handling of complex technical issues; investigating incidents; and training the next generation of personnel.

It's a job that demands meticulousness, experience, and the ability to analyze and make accurate judgments. Because in a continuous production plant like Phu My Fertilizer, every piece of equipment plays a crucial role in the entire production line. Even a small anomaly can affect the overall operation.

What is admirable about Mr. Dinh is his humility. When he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Petrovietnam Employee" in 2026, he said that the factory had many other outstanding individuals, and for him, this title was both a source of pride and a motivation to continue striving.

That humility does not overshadow the persistent efforts of the engineer who has dedicated more than a decade to the plant. He currently holds numerous advanced international certifications such as vibration analysis Cat II, III, IV; lubricant certification MLA1, along with many professional certifications from equipment manufacturers on steam turbines, compressors, dynamic balancing, etc.

For engineers, these certifications are not only proof of competence but also reflect a continuous learning process aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of technology, equipment, and potential operational risks.

Based on his work experience, Mr. Dinh has led and participated in dozens of initiatives to streamline production. According to him, innovation in a technical environment often begins with very specific problems, such as a piece of equipment showing unusual signs, an unstable parameter, or a potential risk to the reliability of the production line.

The engineer must observe, analyze, diagnose, and find appropriate solutions. When the solution proves effective, it becomes a valuable innovation for the factory.

Among the solutions he implemented, he remembers most vividly the successful handling of difficult problems without disrupting the production line. A prime example is the solution to address electrical discharge issues in compressors through analysis and diagnosis from the online equipment monitoring system. Based on this, the technical team proposed appropriate solutions to extend equipment reliability and avoid unplanned downtime.

To those outside the industry, these might just be dry technical details. But for a continuously operating factory, every time a problem is avoided, every hour of stable production line operation is of immense significance to manufacturing efficiency.

Continuously learning, spreading responsibility, and fostering a spirit of sharing.

What defines Mr. Dinh's work style is his spirit of continuous learning, responsibility towards his work, and collaboration with colleagues. According to him, engineers cannot stand still because technology changes very quickly, especially in the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, which are strongly impacting the industrial sector.

Therefore, every engineer must constantly put pressure on themselves to learn, update their knowledge, and improve their expertise. But learning alone is not enough. According to him, work must be done with professional integrity. Even if the leadership doesn't specifically require it, the employee themselves still needs to set quality standards for the work they undertake.

" Whether it's a small task or a large one, you must be responsible and aim for real value for the team and the factory, not just get it done ," he shared.

This perspective is also clearly reflected in his view of his colleagues. He believes that, in a factory environment, no one can complete a job alone. Every result is the product of the collaboration of many departments and many people. Therefore, it is important to maintain a spirit of support, open but sincere communication to progress together and achieve common goals.

Not only is Mr. Dinh dedicated to his profession, but he is also the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Technical Department. He actively participates in cultural and sports activities, visits employees in difficult circumstances, and many social welfare programs.

According to him, the outstanding qualities at PVFCCo - Phu My are creativity, responsibility, and sharing. Creativity begins with addressing very specific challenges in daily work; responsibility is demonstrated by each person always completing their assigned tasks thoroughly; and sharing is present in team activities and community-oriented programs.
