The contest is organized to find photographic works of artistic value to promote to the people of the capital and the whole country the position, especially important role, and responsibility for developing the capital Hanoi . Arouse the revolutionary tradition, a thousand years of culture, heroism, peace, friendship, proactive and creative spirit, self-reliance and aspiration of the capital Hanoi.
Through the exhibition and award-winning works, we contribute to honoring and promoting the cultural, scientific , historical and aesthetic values of Hanoi culture to Vietnamese and international tourists. We create a favorable environment for professional and amateur photography enthusiasts to express their talents and perspectives, and at the same time exchange and learn from experience, enriching the city's photo resources.

At the same time, the contest is also an opportunity to encourage and motivate the mass movement, especially the young generation, to continuously preserve, inherit and promote the Vietnamese cultural identity in general and the beauty of the capital in particular in the period of integration and development.
The contest is open to professional and non-professional photographers, Vietnamese citizens, Vietnamese people residing abroad, and foreigners studying, living and working in Vietnam.
The content of the entries has a clear message, a new and unique perspective on the Capital Hanoi - the City of "Cultured - Civilized - Modern", expressing the love of Vietnamese people and international friends for Hanoi based on the messages: Thang Long - Hanoi "Thousand years of civilization"; Hanoi - Heroic Capital; Hanoi - City for peace; Hanoi - Creative City; Hanoi - Integration and development; Hanoi people are gallant, elegant, affectionate, civilized; Hanoi Festival; Green, clean, beautiful Hanoi... The works reflect the economic , cultural, social, integration and development achievements of the Capital.
The entries are presented in the form of (single photo and photo series). For single photo entries: Each author can submit from 1 to 10 photos. For photo series entries: Each photo series is considered a work, consisting of 5-8 photos numbered in order in the series. Authors can submit up to 2 photo series. The entries must include a caption about the theme and a description of the content of the work (no more than 200 words).

The works must have creative composition, beautiful lighting, highly aesthetic images; meet the requirements of photography techniques and language. The works must be photo series with cohesion and consistency between the works. In addition, the works must have artistic value and meaningful content, comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, ensure cultural standards, be suitable for the customs and traditions of the Vietnamese people and have wide influence. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and orientation in preserving the traditions and good cultural identities of the nation in general and Hanoi in particular.
Entries must not violate copyright and comply with the contest rules. Entries must be submitted by August 1, 2024.
Based on the evaluation results of the Jury, the Organizing Committee will award prizes and cash prizes to quality works for single and series of photos with the following prize structure: First prize, second prize, third prize, consolation prize, grassroots movement consolation prize and thematic consolation prize.
The award ceremony and exhibition of winning works are scheduled to be held on September 20, 2024./.
