Launching the "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene and Workers' Month of Hanoi City in 2025", Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha affirmed: Implementing the Directive of the Secretariat and the Resolution of the Government on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over occupational safety and hygiene in the new situation, Hanoi City has directed synchronous solutions from the city to the grassroots level, aiming to raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests, improving the working life of workers and laborers, contributing significantly to the economic development and ensuring social security of the Capital.

Frankly admitting that in addition to the achieved results, in the city there are still units, enterprises, and construction works that are negligent and do not pay due attention to occupational safety and hygiene, the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee emphasized: After the launching ceremony of the Action Month, the requirement is to create a strong spread, the attention of the whole society, especially the authorities at all levels and employers to the jobs, lives, and issues of workers; encourage workers to actively study, improve their qualifications and skills, approach modern labor trends, and prepare for the new development stage of the country.

To achieve the set goals, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha requested all levels, sectors, local authorities, trade unions at all levels, especially enterprises, production and business establishments, workers and laborers to continue to thoroughly implement the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the City Party Committee on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over occupational safety and hygiene in the new situation, seriously and effectively implement the plans of the City People's Committee related to the Month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene and the Month of Workers in 2025.

The city assigned the Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with the City Labor Federation and relevant units to organize consulting activities to support businesses, improve working conditions, seminars and competitions on occupational safety and hygiene. Along with that, it is necessary to direct negotiation and dialogue activities at the workplace, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor, care for the lives, jobs, salaries, bonuses, benefits and working conditions of workers. In addition, it is necessary to proactively advise the City People's Committee to organize meetings and dialogues between government leaders and businesses with trade union officials, workers, civil servants and employees in the city in 2025 to ensure practicality and effectiveness.

The Department of Culture and Sports needs to deploy propaganda topics on safety, hygiene - labor, warning of risks of labor accidents and fires; share and spread the collectives and individuals who do well and at the same time publicize the handling of units, enterprises, production and business establishments that violate regulations on labor safety and hygiene, causing damage to people and property of the state, enterprises and people.

In particular, the inspection teams on the implementation of the provisions of the law on labor safety, hygiene and fire prevention in 2025 of the City People's Committee urgently conduct inspections of activities at units, districts, towns, enterprises and construction works in the city, and report the inspection results to the City People's Committee periodically and suddenly in accordance with regulations.

The city also assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to base on the actual conditions of the locality, closely follow the theme, and proactively implement activities of the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month in 2025. Organize inspection teams, resolutely and strictly handle and publicize violating businesses and individuals to ensure the strictness of the law.

Responding to the "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene and Workers' Month", the Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful movement launched by the city, Vice President of the City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene and Workers' Month 2025 requested that all levels of the Capital's Trade Union deploy activities to all union members and workers, to take care of and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and employees.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh affirmed: With the tradition of solidarity, dynamism and creativity of the staff, civil servants and workers of the Capital, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation believes that the activities in the Action Month and the emulation movement "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" will continue to be organized enthusiastically, widely, effectively and practically, contributing to building the staff of the Capital and the Trade Union organization to be increasingly strong, building the city to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes, presented gifts, and encouraged collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene. Four collectives and four individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; two collectives and one individual were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Home Affairs; and five collectives and six individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

On this occasion, the City presented 100 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and those who had work-related accidents (each gift worth 1.3 million VND), and 100 gifts to children of workers in difficult circumstances (each gift worth 1.2 million VND)./.

Before the launching ceremony, at the Cultural and Sports Center of Thach That district, the City Labor Federation coordinated with the People's Committee of Thach That district and related units to organize free consultation and health check-ups for 200 workers, civil servants and employees. The subjects of the examination are cadres, civil servants, employees and employees at grassroots trade unions under the Thach That district Labor Federation. Priority is given to workers, civil servants and employees who have been screened for suspected cancer in 2023 and 2024; workers doing heavy, toxic and dangerous jobs for 3 consecutive years or more; female workers at enterprises employing a large number of female workers; female teachers and employees at kindergartens who have not been screened in 2023 and 2024.
