An earthquake struck Hanoi.

On the evening of February 3rd, representatives from the Institute of Geophysics announced that at 7:52 PM, a 2.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Chuong My district of Hanoi .

According to the Institute of Geophysics, the earthquake occurred at coordinates 20.860 degrees North latitude and 105.582 degrees East longitude, with a focal depth of approximately 8 km.

The Institute of Geophysics assessed the natural disaster risk level of this earthquake as level 0.

Due to the earthquake, residents in some areas of Chuong My and My Duc districts (Hanoi) clearly felt the tremors.

Mr. Minh Duc (from My Duc district) said he felt tremors for 3-5 seconds, leading him to suspect an earthquake. Many people on social media also posted information about feeling these tremors.

Currently, authorities are continuing to monitor and assess the situation in order to reach an official conclusion about this tremor.

An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale just occurred in Thanh Thuy district (Phu Tho province), causing tremors felt in many parts of Hanoi.
