The Hanoi Department of Construction has just requested the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board to coordinate with its affiliated units to implement solutions to ensure traffic safety and minimize traffic congestion in the city.

Specifically, the Department requested that the relevant units remove a 70m long, 3m wide median strip in front of the Taisei Tower building at 289 Khuat Duy Tien; relocate the infrastructure including trees and lighting; and move the bus stop 150m further towards the Trung Hoa intersection, between pillars T221 and T222.

Simultaneously, a section of the traffic island on Khuat Duy Tien Street at the Trung Hoa intersection, heading towards Mai Dich, will be narrowed by approximately 3.2 meters.

At the Do Duc Duc - Pham Hung intersection, the Hanoi Department of Construction requested a count of vehicles turning left from Pham Hung Street onto Do Duc Duc Street and the connecting road from the Nam Trung Yen resettlement area to Pham Hung Street. Based on this, they will study adjusting the traffic lights to suit the actual traffic volume.

At the intersection of Giai Phong, Le Duan, and Dai Co Viet, the Department requested the arrangement of a left-turn lane for vehicles coming from Giai Phong Street into Xa Dan Street; and the installation of curbs to prevent motorcyclists from entering the disabled lane at the traffic island on the Xa Dan Street side.

At the May 10 - Nguyen Van Linh intersection, the cycle of the pedestrian crossing lights has been adjusted to match the area's traffic volume in order to reduce congestion on the route.
