(Baohatinh.vn) - Thousands of people in coastal areas and areas at high risk of landslides and flash floods in Ha Tinh were evacuated to safety by local authorities and functional forces before storm No. 10 made landfall.

Determining that storm No. 10 has strong winds, fast moving speed, and wide range of influence, this morning, Thien Cam commune quickly mobilized forces and means to organize the evacuation of households in dangerous areas to safety.

Through screening, the entire Thien Cam commune has 800 households with over 1,746 people at risk of being affected when the storm makes landfall. Since this morning, the Party Committee and government of Thien Cam commune have quickly mobilized the entire political system to reach residential groups to propagate and encourage people to evacuate to safety.

Armed forces such as police, military , and militia went to households to help evacuate, secure houses and properties, and support people, especially the elderly, children, and sick people, to evacuation sites.
