Ha Tinh actively connects and promotes investment

Activities to promote the province's strengths and investment environment and connect with domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations to attract investment projects in Ha Tinh.

Within the framework of the program Promoting Vietnamese localities in the United States and Canada organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the end of April, at forums and through visiting the activities, production and business of a number of enterprises, the working delegation of Ha Tinh province led by Comrade Hoang Trung Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, took the opportunity to introduce and promote the potentials, strengths, environment and investment policies of the province to foreign partners.

At the same time, the provincial leaders also informed about the fields that Ha Tinh is focusing on attracting investment such as: post-steel industry, automobile manufacturing support industry and logistics service industry, science and technology, energy, education ... and invited businesses and corporations to come and learn and survey investment.

Also in April, during a working trip to China, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and members of the delegation met and worked with business associations of several Chinese localities; surveyed and worked with large enterprises in automobile manufacturing, battery manufacturing, energy and gas production, etc. Here, the delegation informed about the socio-economic situation, investment attraction activities of the province, introduced the potential, advantages and hoped that units and organizations would support the connection, introduction and promotion of the image of Ha Tinh, the potential, advantages and investment incentive policies of the province to Chinese investors.

Recently, Ha Tinh also welcomed a delegation from the Hunan Province Business Association (China) to visit and survey a number of enterprises in the province. During the meeting with the delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai affirmed that Ha Tinh always creates favorable conditions for investors to survey, carry out investment procedures and implement projects.

In addition, in recent times, participation in investment promotion events has also been focused on. For example, at the Vietnam Expo 2024 Fair, Ha Tinh's booth displayed many publications and products introducing the socio-economic situation, advantages, preferential policies, and investment attraction list of the province. On this occasion, representatives of units, enterprises, and investors of industrial parks and clusters in the area took advantage of the opportunity to introduce the potential, advantages, and investment attraction policies to domestic and foreign enterprises.

Ms. Lieu Sut Han - Director of Loi Chau Trading and Investment Company Limited (Ky Anh Town) - a participant in Vietnam Expo 2024 Fair said: "Ky Hung Industrial Cluster has invested in technical infrastructure according to regulations, the company is continuing to invite secondary investors to the cluster to implement the project. In particular, after the Provincial People's Committee announced the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, our industrial cluster has had many investors come to learn about investment cooperation. We hope that through Vietnam Expo 2024 Fair, many investors will know and be interested in investing in the industrial cluster to diversify the fields, increase the occupancy rate of the industrial cluster in the coming time".

Along with promotional activities, promotion, and business connection to attract new projects to the area, on-site investment promotion is also promoted with many specific activities. Mr. Tran Nguyen Huynh - Director of the Center for Enterprise Development Support and Investment Promotion of the province said: "The provincial leaders pay special attention and direct the resolution of difficulties and problems for businesses and investors in the process of implementing investment procedures and project implementation; promote reform, simplify administrative procedures, improve the investment and business environment to improve the quality of attracting investment projects...".

According to the 2024 investment promotion program of the Provincial People's Committee, the investment attraction orientation is to attract projects with high socio-economic efficiency, using advanced technology, high-quality human resources, being environmentally friendly, creating production chain links... especially in industries and fields with local strengths, fields with much room for development.

Accordingly, the goal is to attract over 100 projects, based on the projects being promoted such as: Automobile and auxiliary components manufacturing industrial park and social housing area in Vung Ang Economic Zone; Gia Lach Industrial Park expansion; Bac Hong Linh Industrial Park; Industrial park west of Ha Tinh city; Ky Trinh - Ky Thinh Industrial Park; Ha Vang Industrial Park; Technical infrastructure of industrial parks according to the Provincial Planning; Thinh Loc international golf course and resort complex (Loc Ha); Southwest commercial, service, tourism and sports area (Thach Ha); Central park and Lam Hong Garden Park City urban area (Ha Tinh city); Urban area and hotel and resort complex south of Thien Cam tourist area (Cam Xuyen) ...

Leaders of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group worked with leaders of Ha Tinh province on the policy of researching and investing in the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) power plant and an LNG port warehouse center in Vung Ang Economic Zone (May 2024).

Investment promotion and calling is one of the important tasks to access and attract domestic and foreign investment capital into the province, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's goal of rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. According to the plan, the province's investment promotion program in 2024 focuses on 20 activities with 8 main contents, including: research, assessment of market potential, trends, investment partners; image building, propaganda, promotion, introduction of investment environment, policies, potentials, opportunities and connections; support, guidance, and facilitation for investment activities; building information systems and databases to serve investment promotion activities; building a list of investment attraction projects; building publications and documents to serve investment promotion activities; training and coaching to enhance capacity in investment promotion; domestic and international cooperation in investment promotion.

Up to now, Ha Tinh has about 1,450 domestic investment projects with a total investment of about 140,000 billion VND and about 70 foreign investment projects with a total investment of about 16.1 billion USD. With this capital, Ha Tinh is in the top 10 localities nationwide in attracting foreign investment.
