The latest model in Haaland's collection of luxury cars. |
The car the Norwegian striker recently acquired is a limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Virgil Abloh, of which only 150 were produced globally. This is the final special S-Class model created in collaboration with Virgil Abloh, the late Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, who passed away in 2021 after battling illness.
The luxury sedan quickly became a highly sought-after collector's item in the high-end car market. Haaland was spotted driving the car in Alderley Edge (Cheshire), an area known for being home to many Premier League players.
The Maybach boasts a unique two-tone design. The upper body is finished in glossy Obsidian black, while the lower half and wheels feature a distinctive sand color. Abloh's signature touches are evident throughout the interior, from the center console and headrests to the door sills, creating a distinct identity for this limited edition.
In terms of performance, the car uses a 6.0L V12 biturbo engine, giving it a top speed of 250 km/h and the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds, coupled with a four-wheel drive system.
Notably, the £400,000 price tag is less than a week's salary for Haaland, who currently earns around £500,000 per week at Man City. Previously, Haaland's car collection included several high-profile names such as the Aston Martin DBX707 (£350,000), Rolls-Royce Cullinan (£300,000), and Porsche 911 GT3 (£160,000).
This latest deal further confirms Haaland's extravagant taste for luxury supercars.
