Despite dominating possession, reaching 65%, the Bavarian team struggled to break through their opponent's disciplined defense.

Stuttgart even created more shots on goal in the first 45 minutes, with 5 compared to Bayern's 4. The deadlock put considerable pressure on the red-shirted team going into halftime.

However, Bayern showed their champion's mettle at the right moment. In the 54th minute, Michael Olise made a skillful move on the right wing before delivering a perfect cross for Harry Kane to head home the opening goal.
