HAGL has a player suspended for the fifth consecutive match.

According to the V-League 2024/2025 Round 16 schedule, HAGL will be playing away against Thanh Hoa FC at 6 PM on March 9th. However, HAGL will not have their strongest squad for this match.

Accordingly, center-back Jairo Rodrigues will continue to be absent due to suspension. Specifically, the Brazilian player received a direct red card in the match against Hanoi FC in round 14, and therefore will continue to be sidelined for the upcoming match.

Thus, coach Le Quang Trai's team will go through 5 consecutive rounds without a key player due to suspensions. In the recent V-League Round 15, HAGL was a major disappointment with a lackluster performance and a 0-1 defeat against Ho Chi Minh City FC. This result was partly affected by the absence of Jairo, as he is one of the most important links in the team's defense.

Besides Jairo, four other players were also suspended for Round 16 of the V-League 2024/2025 due to accumulating too many yellow cards: Nguyen Huu Thang (The Cong Viettel ), Jason Quang Vinh (CAHN Club), Nguyen Van Vi (Nam Dinh Club), and Bicou Bissainthe (Hai Phong FC).
