
There were 13 new FDI projects with a total investment of $62 million; 23 projects were adjusted with a total additional capital of $91.2 million; and 6 projects involved capital contributions and share purchases totaling $4.5 million.
According to the economic growth scenario developed by Hai Duong province, the province aims to attract at least $1 billion in FDI by 2025. FDI capital is typically concentrated in the last quarters of the year.
To date, 27 countries and territories have invested in Hai Duong province with a total of 614 projects and a total registered investment capital of over 11.1 billion USD. Investors mainly come from Asia (accounting for 90%), with the remainder from some European and American countries. Hong Kong (China) has the highest total investment capital, accounting for 35% of the province's current FDI.
In recent times, the province has intensified efforts to promote and attract large-scale, high-tech FDI projects, especially in the processing, manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and hydrogen industries.
