Hai Phong directs to clarify information about circumventing the law on extra teaching at schools and enterprises

Hai Phong City has issued a document directing clarification of information published by Tuoi Tre newspaper about circumventing the law on extra teaching at schools and factories.

On March 14, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City issued Document No. 1896/VP-VX on the inspection and handling of press reports on the circumvention of the law by tutoring students at Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School, Kien An District.

According to the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, on March 13, 2025, Tuoi Tre Online published an article "Circumventing the law" to teach extra classes at "enterprise schools", reflecting that many parents of students at Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School (Kien An District) were very upset when their children had to go to the study point at Enterprise 359 of Duyen Hai Company (Military Region 3, Hai Phong) to study extra. The teachers are also teachers of the school, so this place is no different from the school's second school.

Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong assigned the Departmentof Education and Training and Kien An District People's Committee, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to urgently inspect and clarify the information reported by the press and strictly handle it according to regulations, report to the City People's Committee before March 20, 2025 and inform the press agencies according to regulations.

Previously, Tuoi Tre Online published an article reflecting on the situation of "circumventing the law" in extra teaching and learning by teachers and students of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School (Kien An District, Hai Phong City), in which it was noted that thousands of students of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School study at school in the morning and take extra classes at Factory 359 of Duyen Hai Company (Military Region 3) in the afternoon and vice versa. This situation makes parents extremely upset because the study location is far away, students' travel is unsafe and expensive.
