HMS Chiddingfold was commissioned in 1983, and in addition to minehunting, it also has offshore patrol duties. It remains one of the UK's main minehunters, having undergone numerous upgrades and equipped with a modern sonar system at the bow.
HMS Bangor was commissioned in 2000 with the purpose of mine hunting at depths up to 200 meters. The ship is equipped with SeaFox unmanned underwater vehicles, which can assist divers in clearing explosives.
