On November 19th, Ben Thanh Kindergarten and Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School (Ben Thanh Ward) jointly organized a traditional music exchange festival. This was the first time these two high-quality, advanced schools integrated and connected, aiming to create a stepping stone for kindergarten children transitioning to first grade.
The performance by Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School began with a lively drum rhythm, spreading joyful energy, followed by the engaging performance of "My Teacher is an E Ban Flower," featuring rhythmic illustrative playing on the traditional T'rưng instrument.
In particular, the game of guessing musical instruments such as the recorder, pianica, or Southern Vietnamese folk songs and traditional music was enthusiastically and passionately participated in by students from both schools.
Ms. Nguyen Thi My Phuong, Principal of Ben Thanh Kindergarten, shared that these exchange activities not only offer new and beneficial content, creating joy in learning, but also serve as a foundation for transitioning to the next level.
"The students have followed an advanced, integrated model, learning specific content of the curriculum. In first grade, they will continue to follow this model, so they can benefit from a high-quality program and easily become familiar with and access many extracurricular activities and interactions in elementary school," Ms. Phuong explained.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Be Hong Hanh, Principal of Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School, said that the school has many clubs and programs featuring traditional Vietnamese music, drumming, flute playing, etc.
Ms. Hanh said: "Both schools are implementing the same program. Today, Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School sent three performances by their students to the preschoolers. This exchange is not just about interaction, but also goes further by helping the children adapt to a variety of activities when they start first grade."
Guessing the T'rưng instrument, Thanh Huy (kindergarten class 2, Ben Thanh Kindergarten) said: "I know about this instrument because I've seen it on TV, but this is the first time I've listened to it and experienced it firsthand to guess. I was right and I'm very happy."
Many parents, participating in the exchange program with their children, expressed their joy and hope for more exchange programs between the two schools with similar models, so that their children can become more confident.
Meaningful activities that help students develop comprehensively.
Attending the folk music exchange festival between the two schools, the leaders of the Culture and Social Affairs Department (Ben Thanh Ward) highly appreciated the program between the two high-quality, advanced, and integrated model schools: Ben Thanh Kindergarten and Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School.
According to the head of this department, this is a good program, an exchange that provides an initial step and a foundation, helping students become more confident and move towards holistic education .
Schools implementing the high-quality program "advanced school, internationally integrated" are those with well-invested teaching facilities and quality, helping students develop comprehensively; 100% of students attend two sessions per day with a maximum of 35 students per class for primary schools.
The fees charged by schools implementing this model are determined by three components: tuition fees collected according to current regulations; fees for organizing and implementing the "Advanced School, International Integration" high-quality program: 1,725,000 VND/student/month (according to Resolution 04-2023 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council); and other fees as stipulated, such as boarding fees and transportation fees.
