Two Cai Luong plays to celebrate the 30-4 holiday

This April, Ho Chi Minh City has two meaningful cai luong plays to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Opening early on the evening of April 19 at Tran Huu Trang Opera House is the classical opera play Cau Tho Yen Ngua (author: Hoang Yen, adapted by: Ngoc Van - Thanh Tong). This is a passionate performance that the Minh To - Thanh Tong classical opera family in collaboration with Dai Viet Theater decided to perform on April 30.

The play, which highlights the nation's national anthem, is even more meaningful on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of our nation living in peace .

The play was re-produced by director Hoa Ha, focusing on talented artists such as Que Tran, Tu Suong, Vo Minh Lam, Chi Linh... The first show was sold out, promising that Cau Tho Yen Ngua will reunite with the audience for a few more shows.

Another play also directed by Hoa Ha is the revolutionary cai luong play Tieng ho song song of Hau river (script: Dieu Huyen) which will meet the audience on April 26, also at Tran Huu Trang Theater.

The play "Tieng ho song Hau" is nearly 50 years old. This time, the director has breathed new life into the play, making the spirit of the peasants rising up under the oppression of colonialism and feudalism once again continue to make the audience ache. "Tieng ho song Hau" focuses on many young actors such as Le Tu, Hoang Hai, Thu Van, Dien Trung...
