This year, the opening ceremony will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation nationwide. The in-person broadcast will follow the program of each educational institution from 7:00 AM to 7:50 AM; the online broadcast will be a rebroadcast of VTV1 - Vietnam Television. The opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) will be held at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

To prepare for this special ceremony, on September 4th, all staff, teachers, employees, and students of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (Hoa My commune) came to school for a dress rehearsal. Mr. Huynh Xuan Mai, the school principal, said: "This year's opening ceremony will be brief but complete. From 7:00 to 7:55 AM, the school will hold the opening ceremony with the following contents: welcoming 10th-grade students to the school, a welcoming cultural performance, receiving the decision recognizing the school as meeting national standards level 2; and awarding gifts and scholarships to students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School will have 1,255 students/29 classes, including 395 10th-grade students. The school has installed 3 large-screen TVs for students and teachers to watch the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education."

Y Jút Primary School (Buôn Đôn commune) has two campuses: one in Jang Lành hamlet (5 km from the main campus) and another in Đrăng Phốk hamlet (18 km from the main campus). In previous years, students from the Jang Lành hamlet campus would travel to the main campus for the opening ceremony; afterwards, school leaders would go to the Đrăng Phốk hamlet campus to hold the ceremony for the remaining students. This year, the Y Jút Primary School's management board has planned to hold the opening ceremony simultaneously for nearly 700 students.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, in the 2025-2026 school year, the entire province will have 136 students (25 preschool children, 69 primary school students, 33 secondary school students, and 9 high school students) who will transfer with their families from schools in the East to schools in the West of the province.

Mr. Ho Si Lam, Principal of Y Jut Primary School, said that students from the Jang Lanh hamlet branch school will hold their opening ceremony at the main school. The school has arranged LED screens, speakers, and shade umbrellas to organize a solemn opening ceremony for students at the Drang Phok hamlet branch school. "This is the most special and modern opening ceremony ever for students and teachers at the Drang Phok hamlet branch school. For the first time, students from Drang Phok hamlet will attend the opening ceremony on the correct day and time, sharing the same 'rhythm' with students nationwide," Mr. Lam emphasized.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Phan Ngoc Minh Anh, a student in class 3C at Ngo Quyen Primary School (Buon Ma Thuot ward), moved with her parents from Tuy Hoa ward to Buon Ma Thuot ward for work and residence. Minh Anh shared that after the initial moments of unfamiliarity at the new school, she gradually got used to her friends and homeroom teacher.

According to Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Principal of Ngo Quyen Primary School, the school will have 1,027 students in the 2025-2026 school year, including 35 students transferring from schools in the eastern part of the province. To ensure their learning and help them integrate quickly, the school has arranged classes to suit their wishes and the actual situation. Homeroom teachers proactively contact parents to coordinate and support the students; helping new students stabilize their psychology, feel the care and love from teachers and friends, and thus quickly integrate into the new learning environment.

Students in grades 1, 9, and 12 also started school on August 22nd, one week earlier than students in other grades, and two weeks before the official opening ceremony. This gave them a smooth start to the school year: familiarizing themselves with the school and classrooms; and having more time to prepare thoroughly for the curriculum of their first year (grade 1) and their final year with important exams.

According to Ms. Ho Truong Thi Thai Kieu, Principal of Au Co Primary School (Tuy Hoa Ward), since August 22nd, first-grade students have returned to school to familiarize themselves with the environment, teachers, and new friends, reducing the initial awkwardness of transitioning from preschool to primary school. "The early return of first-grade students allows teachers to check textbooks and learning materials, establish routines, create a relaxed atmosphere for students, and prepare for the opening ceremony," Ms. Kieu said.

According to the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Le Thi Thanh Xuan: In the 2025-2026 academic year, the education sector will promote scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation in education, from educational programs to the deployment of software and applications, the use of artificial intelligence in management and teaching, and administrative procedure reform; focusing on investing in infrastructure to meet digital transformation needs, ensuring safety and security for digital transformation in the education sector.
