On the afternoon of December 6th, Mr. Pham Ngoc Quy, Head of the Nghe An Food Safety and Hygiene Department, stated that they are coordinating with relevant agencies to collect food samples for testing to determine the cause of dozens of workers at a company in the WHA industrial park (located in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province) being hospitalized after lunch.
Workers suspected of food poisoning have been hospitalized for treatment and health monitoring.
According to initial information, after lunch on December 6th, dozens of workers at Premium Fashion Company (a garment factory) in WHA Industrial Park (Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province) experienced symptoms such as headache, nausea, facial flushing, chest tightness, redness and rashes on the skin of the face, neck, and arms, and fatigue.
From 2 PM to 4:30 PM on the same day, Nghi Loc District General Hospital received 42 suspected cases of food poisoning at this company.
According to the leadership of Nghi Loc District General Hospital, some patients with severe symptoms have been admitted for treatment, while the remaining patients are continuing to be monitored.
Ms. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet, Vice Chairman of the Nghi Loc District People's Committee, said: After receiving the information, the district directed the hospital to mobilize maximum human resources and equipment to treat and care for the patients; specialized departments quickly arrived, along with competent authorities, to treat the patients and investigate the cause of the incident.
It is known that the lunch served on December 6th at Premium Fashion Company included dishes such as: stir-fried pickled vegetables with pork, fish, etc.
