A range of car models have seen reductions of up to 100% in registration fees.

November 2025 marks the period of the strongest incentives in the automotive market this year, with many SUV, MPV, and pickup truck models simultaneously receiving up to 100% reductions in registration fees. These reductions, amounting to tens of millions, or even up to 130 million VND, have significantly boosted consumer demand, creating a vibrant business environment at many dealerships nationwide.

According to dealerships, the number of customers viewing vehicles in the first half of November increased by 20-40% compared to the previous month. The subsidy on registration fees – an amount ranging from 10-12% of the vehicle's value depending on the locality – has helped buyers save a significant amount, especially in the popular SUV and MPV segments.

A Mitsubishi dealership consultant in Hanoi said: "Since the beginning of November, the number of customers visiting the dealership has almost doubled compared to previous months. Models with a 100% registration fee discount, such as the Xpander Cross and Xforce Premium, are selling very quickly."

According to market experts, competition among Japanese, Korean, and Chinese vehicles in the SUV-MPV segment is forcing manufacturers to offer significant discounts, thereby creating a large price advantage for buyers in the final months of the year.

In November 2025, the Mitsubishi Xpander was the most sought-after MPV thanks to strong promotions. Specifically, the Xpander Cross and AT Premium models received a 100% reduction in registration fees, equivalent to approximately 60-70 million VND; the Xpander MT received a 50% reduction, saving about 28 million VND. After the promotions, the on-the-road price was only around 530-630 million VND, helping the Xpander maintain its position as the best-selling MPV in Vietnam.

This model also led sales in the entire fuel-burning car market last October, achieving sales of 2,644 units, bringing the total sales for the first 10 months to 15,082 vehicles nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi Xforce benefits from a 100% reduction in registration fees for the GLX and Premium versions, bringing the actual price down to 540-610 million VND, putting significant pressure on the Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue. The Ultimate version receives a 50% reduction in registration fees, further expanding customer options.

Mr. Hoang Nam, a customer who recently ordered an Xpander Cross in Hanoi, shared: “I planned to wait until closer to Tet (Lunar New Year) to buy it, but when I learned about the discount of over 60 million VND, I decided to finalize the purchase immediately. The price is very reasonable for an MPV and given my financial situation.”

Similarly, Honda Vietnam is also offering incentives such as a 100% waiver of registration fees for the BR-V L and HR-V G models, equivalent to 63-70 million VND depending on the region; and a 80 million VND subsidy for the CR-V L/G. In particular, the BR-V model, with its sporty design, spacious 7-seater interior, and fuel-efficient 1.5L engine, is gradually regaining its appeal.

A representative from a Honda dealership in Hanoi said, "The promotional program helps the BR-V attract more family customers. Some versions have already started to show signs of shortage."

Not only Japanese brands, but the entire Omoda C5 lineup is currently enjoying a 100% reduction in registration fees, bringing the lowest-priced version down to around 440 million VND after the discount. This price point is making the B-segment SUV market fiercely competitive. Many customers appreciate the Omoda C5's technological advantages and modern design, making it suitable for young people.

Meanwhile, although Hyundai hasn't announced a policy, many dealerships are still supporting the Venue with a discount equivalent to 100% of the registration fee, bringing the actual price down to 449-485 million VND. This gives the Venue an advantage over competitors like the Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize. Not to be left out, Ford Vietnam also launched a program supporting 50% of the registration fee for the Ranger L version and up to 100% for the Stormtrak, Wildtrak, Raptor, and Ranger XLS versions, with discounts ranging from 42.5 million to 130 million VND.

For the Ford Everest SUV model, customers will receive 2 years of comprehensive insurance and a Mozhu S3 dashcam worth 34 million VND for the Titanium 4x4 version, 30 million VND for the Titanium 4x2 version, or a premium 3M window tinting package worth 10 million VND for the Ambient, Sport, and Sport Special Edition versions...

Many customers believe the reduction in registration fees in November is the best opportunity of the year. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hue from Thanh Hoa, who recently ordered an Omoda C5, shared: “I saved nearly 80 million VND in total, including registration fees and dealer gifts. With this reduction, I decided to buy early instead of waiting until next year.”

According to industry experts, SUVs, MPVs, and pickup trucks are trending consumer choices in Vietnam due to their versatile performance, spacious interiors, and family-friendly nature.

Furthermore, November 2025 is becoming the period with the strongest incentives in the automotive market, as a series of SUV, MPV, and pickup truck models are simultaneously reducing registration fees by up to 100%.
