In the sacred atmosphere of the Buddha's birthday season, Venerable Thich Duc Thanh performed the ritual of bathing the Buddha. This is a long-standing traditional Buddhist ceremony, commemorating the Buddha's birth in Lumbini Garden, and reminding each person to purify their body and mind, and strive towards virtuous values.
Hundreds of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers participated in a space adorned with flags, banners, and models celebrating the Buddha's birthday. The sound of temple bells and chanting blended together to create a solemn and serene atmosphere.

Following the Buddha bathing ceremony, 32 floats from temples and Buddhist prayer halls in Hue city paraded through many central streets. The floats were elaborately decorated with images of the Buddha's birth, lotus flowers, and messages of compassion, peace, and wisdom. Some floats recreated the image of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc, who self-immolated in 1963 to protect Vietnamese Buddhism, attracting the attention of many locals and tourists.
Next, a procession of thousands of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers set off from Dieu De National Pagoda, passing through Bach Dang, Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, and Dien Bien Phu streets, and ending at the main ceremonial platform at Tu Dam Ancestral Pagoda. Along the route, many people respectfully welcomed the procession.

The Buddha procession has been held in Hue since 1935, interrupted for a period, and restored from 2008 to the present. The Buddha's Birthday celebration commemorates the birth of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha.
