Passengers die when bus overturns on Tam Dao Pass

On the morning of April 26, Vinh Phuc Provincial Police said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, resulting in deaths and injuries.

The scene showed that the passenger car with license plate 29F-059.95 was lying on the edge of Tam Dao Pass, the glass door was shattered. Immediately upon receiving the information, the leaders of Vinh Phuc Provincial Police directed functional units to the scene to take the injured to the emergency room.

According to information, someone died after this serious traffic accident.

Currently, leaders of Vinh Phuc province and Vinh Phuc provincial police have arrived at the scene to direct rescue work and clarify the cause of the traffic accident.

Tam Dao is a mountain range about 50km long, located in the North of Vinh Yen City (Vinh Phuc Province), becoming the natural boundary between Vinh Phuc Province and Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen provinces.

For the past three consecutive years, Tam Dao has been honored as the world's leading tourist town. This place has great appeal to tourists due to its majestic natural landscape, rich heritage system and long-standing cultural traditions. Although the distance from the foot of the mountain to the center of Tam Dao tourist area is about 14km long, the road is small, with many hairpin bends that pose potential dangers.

The most dangerous section of Tam Dao Pass is usually the middle section, from top to bottom, with many hairpin bends. Even experienced people, when arriving at this area, must proactively put the car in gear and slow down because of the danger.

Many accidents have occurred on Tam Dao Pass due to drivers not being familiar with the road and not handling situations properly when traveling on the pass.

Earlier, on the afternoon of April 20, a video clip of a traffic accident at Tam Dao Pass (Vinh Phuc) was circulated on social media, attracting a large number of viewers. In the video, viewers can see two girls driving a scooter downhill. However, when going through a curve, due to not being able to control the speed, the motorbike crashed into the guardrail on the side of the road, causing the two victims to be thrown off the vehicle.

The accident caused some pieces of the motorbike to be scattered everywhere. The two girls who were injured were from Pho Yen city (Thai Nguyen province). After the accident, both of them took each other to the district medical center for emergency treatment. Fortunately, neither of them suffered any life-threatening injuries. The girl who was driving had a minor scratch on her leg while the other girl had to get two stitches on her leg.
