Essential tools for a "digital citizen"

During Youth Month, youth union branches implemented many innovative models, applying artificial intelligence to practice, contributing to deepening digital transformation and forming a generation of dynamic "digital citizens" who can quickly adapt to the development of modern society.

Many effective methods

In early 2026, youth union branches across the city simultaneously launched many practical activities aimed at raising awareness and digital skills among union members and young people. In Hoa Tien commune, the application of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) made a significant impact. Nguyen Dinh Thinh, Secretary of the commune's Youth Union, said that the unit proactively innovated its communication methods, applying AI to its propaganda work to increase its attractiveness and effectiveness.

One of the highlights is the "End-of-Month Newsletter" model, launched at the beginning of 2026. Instead of traditional newsletters, the Youth Union of the commune is applying AI technology to create a virtual MC named Nhat Huyen, who takes on the role of leading and summarizing the month's activities. The newsletter content is presented in a lively, accessible way, suitable for young people. To date, the model has successfully implemented two issues and is continuing to be refined and improved in quality.

Furthermore, in the campaign to promote the election of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels, the Youth Union of Hoa Tien commune applied AI to develop scripts and create many high-quality media products. In addition, the youth of Hoa Tien actively participated in helping people access digital technology, directly visiting each household to assist in "cleaning" medical and land data.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thinh, in the near future, the unit will establish a Media Club to gather young people with talent in content creation and digital technology. At the same time, they will cooperate with Mobifone Da Nang to organize in-depth training courses on AI, gradually improving the capabilities of the union members.

In Song Vang commune, the implementation of digital transformation activities has also yielded many positive results. According to ALăng Ứi, Secretary of the Song Vang Commune Youth Union, the unit has intensified the promotion of cashless payments to all its members and young people, contributing to changing consumer habits and promoting the digital economy .

Simultaneously, youth union members actively support people in accessing online public services. Youth union officials in the villages play a core role in the community digital technology teams. With their close relationship and understanding of the local area, these young people encourage residents to install level 2 electronic identification, contributing to the development of digital government. Digital skills training is also implemented flexibly. Instead of organizing separate classes, the commune's Youth Union integrates the training content into regular meetings, ensuring continuity and effectiveness.

Meanwhile, in Tra My commune, the application of AI in propaganda work has brought about many positive changes. According to Nguyen Thi Hoang My, Secretary of the Youth Union of the commune, AI-powered video products have vivid images and intuitive content, suitable for the information consumption trends of young people. Through social media platforms, many legal awareness videos produced by the Youth Union have attracted a large number of views and shares.

Beyond video production, the locality is also applying AI in image design, scriptwriting, content editing, and infographic creation to promote digital transformation, combat cybercrime, and many other areas.

Platforms for youth in the digital age

According to the Secretary of the City Youth Union, Le Cong Hung, improving digital skills for young people is a key task to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Based on this, the City Youth Union is implementing the "You and I Together Equip Ourselves with AI" model with a systematic roadmap, consisting of three phases. The first phase focuses on raising awareness and providing an overview of AI tools; the second phase involves widespread implementation at the grassroots level, requiring each Youth Union member to research and master at least one AI tool; and the third phase involves evaluation, summarization, and scaling up the model.

A notable aspect of the model is its "hands-on" approach, encouraging members to share knowledge and experience through branch meetings. The development of the "AI Digital Diary" also contributes to motivating and spreading the spirit of learning and creativity among young people.

In addition, the Da Nang Youth Union plans to organize the "Da Nang Youth - Innovating with AI" competition in the near future to create a platform for union members and young people to showcase their creativity through digital media products. "The application of AI and the development of digital skills not only helps improve the effectiveness of the Youth Union's work but also opens up many new opportunities for young people in learning and entrepreneurship. More importantly, this is the foundation for building a generation of dynamic digital citizens who can quickly adapt to the changes of the times," said Mr. Le Cong Hung.
