Within the framework of the 15th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival, on the morning of September 14 at the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio (Hanoi), the documentary "Brilliant Horizon" by director Lan Nguyen was officially released to the public. The entire auditorium was packed with audiences, creating an emotional cinematic space.

Inspired by the live concert of the same name taking place in the spring of 2023, "Brilliant Horizon" not only recreates music but also depicts Ha Anh Tuan's personal journey as a storyteller. Starting from traditional Xam melodies with the young heirs of this art form that is gradually fading away, the film opens up a space full of memories, both familiar and sacred, right at the foot of the sacred mountain in Ninh Binh. From there, the journey continues to lead the audience to the studio of As if there had never been a separation - a television program with nearly two decades of commitment to the mission of finding the roots of the Vietnamese people. Here, Ha Anh Tuan witnessed the emotional moments of reunion after half a century of separation, including the special reunion of a child returning from France.

The film was filmed at many famous locations in Ninh Binh such as Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Tam Coc, Van Long Lagoon, Ma Yen Mountain, Thai Vi Temple, Bai Dinh Ancient Pagoda, Cuc Phuong National Park, or the primary school in Yen Phong Commune. Each location is like a piece of a puzzle that creates a panoramic picture of the homeland, a place that preserves memories, history and identity.

Music is an important factor contributing to the vitality of "Brilliant Horizon". The exclusive compositions of musician Vo Thien Thanh, the immortal melodies of Kitaro and the traditional Xam melodies blend together, not only supporting the film but also evoking emotional depth. In particular, the appearance of Kitaro - a world music "legend" - brings an additional layer of meaning to the film, when music becomes a bridge between Vietnamese culture and international friends.
